Why did i name my pet the name that it is???

I named my pet, Shakma. Does anyone know why i would name it that? it is a monkey pet also for help. Go google go! why did you name your pet the name you chose for it?

Edit: named mine lil for same reason as above... Plus it really helps with people who don't use bgtargets who /target lil. Amusing to see hordies target my pet at the start of bgs.

My hunter, a pandaren named Xiuying, has a pet crane whose name is Xiaohè. It means "little crane" in Chinese. Her secondary pet is a monkey named Hóuzi, which means "monkey" in Chinese.

She also has a battle pet Jade Crane named Yùhè which means "jade crane", a Baby Ape named Yuán which means "ape", and a Spirit of Competition (a Chinese flying dragon) named Fei Lóng, which means "flying dragon".

This is what I would call sticking to a theme.

I name my companion pets after a few things...
1. My friends that quit (sunwatcher, lich, cogglen, etc)
2. References to other games (metroid, navi, etc)
3. References to bands or other such things (oozy osbourne for my disgusting oozeling, led zeppelin for my darkmoon zeppelin, etc)
