Why are there no 24 Ret Pallies?

I feel like they could be pretty damn powerful and a nice change from the 99% that play Prot or Holy. They lack a gap closer, which is pretty big, but aren't they pretty resilient while putting out nice damage?

People don't play 24s for "normal" damage.

24 prot or Hpal are waaay more efficient. Even with the upcoming 5.3 buff ret will still be weak dps compared to the other 2 specs.

Horrible They are horrible a prot pally can do what a ret pally and do it better with a cc and More survivability. It has no slow and no burst. IF you stack str usually you will get 1 hit by shadow priest im BIS for Ret pallys and the hardest u will hit will be like 800 crits but constant 300-400 damage cause for some reason thats like the limit no matter how much str or attack power you have. Ret pallys are not viable unless u wear a sheld and want to off heal your holy pally friend while he dpses cause ret pallys crit on heals for like 3k but besides that its rediculous class. Boomkins are alot better for off heal classes.

Man those TVs hurt in Cata.. i wish all classes were viable.. fury war was so much fun in cata.

OT: rets hit like a wet noodle, in 5.3 rest get 15% increase to 2h wep dmg. doubt it'll make them viable but ill defo be playing ret in 19s.

I'm too busy playing ret in 19s to be playing it in 24s... That seal of truth looks tasty, but not tempting enough.

i made a 24 ret pally after the $0% base resil was put in thinking it would be better than my arms warrior. Oh was i truely wrong lol.
