I've played a few bg's lately that have been totally quiet from start to finish. 
... Not a word said. Thought I was in a PVE instance for a while, or fighting with 9 mimes...
I challenge EU and US twinks to talk a bit more in wsg, especially BEFORE the bg starts, say hi, greet people, have some fun, thank the healers from the last bg, throw out a DISCO for a little pre-bg boogie etc etc. Ask where people you don't know are from or how their day was... anything to spark up a little conversation.
I'm not talking about people who write small essays in bgchat in the middle of bgs (usually moaning about other players, or telling them to L2 do something) when they should be fighting, but a little more chit chat before the game would be nice.
