Where did you level fishing?

Hey, i'm at 230 fishing at the moment, where i should i go next without gaining any experience? and is there any better poles than strong fishing pole? excluding dead wood simply because its so hard to get.

anyway, i got to 150 and popped a lure on my pole and got to 225 by the tourney



EDIT: i see that you're talking about 225 and up :p

You can level it anywhere you want without getting any experience. Orgrimmar/stormwind is fine.



Personally I leveled mine in the fishing contest, up at 280 and still no hat.
 
As said before level anywhere. Ironforge to try for Old Ironjaw. You can actually make good money fishing by selling fish on the AH or to people leveling cooking that are lazy
 
In the Barrens fishing for Deviate Fish.
 
You can now fish right from 1-450 in the highest level zones, as you no longer miss catches, instead you just catch junk.



Probably the best idea is to go to Dalaran, as you don't get XP for discovering it (I don't know about the sewers, but I've summoned alts there and run them to the bank with no XP), and fishing there will get you right up to 450.
 
I first off like to get Fishing Diplomat, where you fish in both Orgrimmar and Stormwind :D



Then go to Barrens and fish up all those Deviates!
