When are you starting your 59?

So the dilemma is that phase 4 will release ZG, but the dungeon tier upgrade won’t roll around till phase 5. And from what I’m reading around the web, you won’t be able to zone into ZG till 58. So if you were somehow able to get into groups, you will still need countless runs for your gear likely especially Hakkar trinket, and with all that XP gain, your cutting it close if not making it impossible for the next phase when you have to upgrade your dungeon tier.

So, phase 5 is obviously miles away and I would like to personally not have to wait that long.

What I will be doing and highly recommend doing...

Farm up a bunch of gold!

If you start now, by the time phase 4 rolls around, you will have the gold to pay a higher end guild to get you the tier and Hakkar trink. They will likely only be going for certain BIS, most of which are not tier if they are already in T2. By doing so, you won’t have to zone in till bosses, and only need 1 run so XP will be negligible.

However you will need gold for both the reservation of all that gear, and the purchase of bijous you will need to get rep which could be anywhere from 10-50g each depending, needing nearly 100 to get to revered.

However if your willing to drop the gold, you can make your twink 1 phase early.

Some classes / specs don't even need the ZG Tier gear because others are simply better. Like Shadowcraft for example, its miles better than the ZG set. So a rogue could start now, hit 58 and chill in WSG until AQ Patch where we can upgrade our dungeon set.

lol I guess rogues get it easy. I’m planning on a frost mage
Nice part is I can work towards my freezing bands, lunar wand of frozen wrath, and master cloak of frozen wrath. They are expensive AF on my realm

From what I’m seeing, best setup for a frost mage is 6/8 upgraded dungeon, with last 2 pieces ZG shoulder and chest tier. Could be wrong though haven’t tested enough setups

Oh, 100% Rogues have it easy imo. Maybe another class / spec has it easy, I just haven't done the research on any others yet. Gold is still a must have, the boes / weapons are very expensive, buying runs to get Hand of Justice will be pricey etc. Gold is everything.
 
That devilsaur set is pretty sweet for a few classes, and that rogue gearset seem just too easy to be true! I have one at 53 I just stalled on leveling so maybe i'll get on that and try it out. Very little to actually farm. (horde tho, so long queues :oops:)

edit- I prefer the possibility of putting a few points into precision and choosing other gear without hit - any ideas on that?

The rogue gearset does seem too easy, thats what I thought too. I haven't played a rogue in classic yet, I just asked a friend to give me a bis list for a 59 and this is what he came up with. No idea if its actually right, looks damn good tho. Would love to see other sets and compare.
 
I would probably get it from talents. That's just the base gearset I'm going for.
 
Looks like you can zone into all the dungeons needed for the D1 sets at level 48. That’s some good news.

The Robe of Archmage is nice, however mainly just for the cooldown.

The setup I had in mind is going ZG neck, shoulders and chest with 6 piece sorc for rest. Then when you want to use an engineering helm, put it on, and replace ZG chest or shoulders with a dungeon piece to maintain that 6 pieces. With having neck, you will always maintain that 2 piece ZG no matter if you have an engineering helm on or not.

Also that ring and cloak are healing and the cenarius ring might be impossible to get but we will see. Elemental attuned blade will be hard AF to get too.

Didn't realize the cloak and ring were healing lol, ill change those, also I didn't check on the ring, but ill make a back up just in case. Elemental attuned blade is BoE isnt it?

Also, how much spell hit % do we need?
