What's your grind?

Tell me about a grind/goal you've been working on completing for longer than you'd like to admit. It can be in game, irl, or a different game.

I'll go first. I have 2 big goals I've worked on.

First, in game, it's been my goal to obtain all of the "super items" from Uldaman. I've been working on this for over 2 years now. Have got 2 so far, but I want them all.

Second, running ‍ a marathon. I've ran several half marathons over the last few years. But I basically feel as though I died a little inside when I'm done. So hopefully 2022 is the year I can get that goal accomplished.

Hell yea!

My in game grind is to finish all the quests, dungeons, exploration and professions available to f2p. Maybe throw in some reps and I’m considering going full “Diablo holy grail” on engineering recipes

out of game grind is running a sub 45 minute 10k on trail and then snatching 100k and clean/jerk 120k by the end of the year

That’d get me back to my pre pandemic totals, before i really let myself go.

Not that much of a "grind", but have been working for several months on getting Apron on an unsubbed account. On top of doing Halfhill daily quests for a few weeks, had to grow the hundreds of mats to max out Panda Cooking, and then take another month to grow the 400 Motes of Harmony (at a rate of around 16 motes/day since I was too lazy to farm them) I needed to buy 40 or so Ironpaw Tokens. You get 1 Ironpaw Token from doing an Inscription weekly from https://www.wowhead.com/npc=64691/lorewalker-huynh, and 10 from the initial cooking quests. Now, I'm on the final month of dailies with https://www.wowhead.com/item=86425/cooking-school-bell, but overall this would probably take 2-3 months to do optimally unsubbed, maybe just a month if subbed.

Great question! In game, I have two shammies I need to finish up to complete my multi-bracket shaman force, plus another twink project to complete. Beyond that, I'm toying with the idea of making a video about macros, and even though I have it scripted out, I'm not enthusiastic enough about it to take on the editing grind that my first video-making experience would require.

Outside of WoW, I'm saving up for my attainable dream car and keeping pace with other fiscal goals, and hitting the gym to get my physical strength back to pre-pandemic numbers, currently sitting at about 70%. Leg day is killing me, otherwise I'd be at 90%. I also need to grind through rental options in search of a new place to live in town, but there's no rush on that.

My grind in-game is to see how many times does it take for me to die Cata zones, trying to get the mats for the cogs to use the Dragon trinket.
Got 0 motivation to do anything irl.

Dont you just buy the cogs from a vendor?
