whats hardest to play? paladin/warrior

Missis

Legend
I was just talking to a 60 paladin twink and i get chocked when he says paladins are harder to play than warriors at 60. i play 60 warrior and paladin myself.

I just want your opinion about it.

PS. sorry for my bad english

Warlock

Really tho a Warrior

I do find it weird that a class with less buttons is harder, it's mostly thanks to stance dancing (not as major anymore but still a big part) and timing your charges/intercepts, as apposed to the super easy rotation of a Retaden

Warriors are by far the hardest class to play at 60 (aside from your random lolstorm into mobs of level 52's in AV turtles, or unless your playing Prot) This is due to several things.

1. Rage starvation: there is not a lot of rage being produced unless you get a nice stream of crits going, and it can really be a killer.

2. NO SPELL REFLECT: worst thing ever at this bracket, once both your charges, and engi shit is down, and a warlock is casting a chaos bolt at you or something, you have no way to defend yourself other than to eat the crit in defensive stance, usually leading to your death.

3. Most of the pve gear's equip bonuses have + defense and damage mitigation, rather than damage output, aside from the HWL and GM set of course.

Ummm, you can actually live through the stun of a properly geared Pally and you don't have any arena targeted skills and many PBAoEs. Warriors arn't the hardest at all. Certanly harder than Pallys but no where near the hardest. Try a non-SPriest caster.

You try any of those strats vs a twink with 1/2 a brain you'll get rolled, anyone can run into a group and hit a few buttons to do damage, premades are where it counts, and that's where Warrior has much less of a skill cap (and also sadly less of a use because it is easier to kite a Warrior than a Pally and a Warrior is killed far faster). The skill cap for Retadens is actually very high has Lolret proved to me, just to be able to get +40 KBs an AV is so much easier as a Retaden that none of them never really bother to learn how to become better and never leave AV (tho they could start by not Repentancing while they're mounted and within or close to HoJ range, it's a waist of a CC).

Warrior by a long shot.

LOL Bladestorm doesn't always cut it. The long list of macros every good warrior should have and knowing how to utilize the abilities properly dwarfs any relative difficulty of play a paladin has aka none.

Now go to any warrior macro site and look at their list of macros or better yet heres a link

Common Warrior Macros

this contains both PVP and PVE macros.

BTW my main is a warrior. If you are PVPing without a healer you are fighting and up hill battle against most classes.

You want to know what a Retadin will typically macro?

Quite literally a bunch of modifier macros attached to their abilities so they have even less buttons to press. Makes it pretty easy when all of your key offensive and defensive abilities are on the same 5-6 keys. I personally run healbot with FOL, HL and cleanse macro'd to my mouse for quick easy healing and cleanse spamming rather than making additional modifier macros but literally the difficulty is just not there.

I think the only out of the ordinary macro's i have are auto targeting HOF and HOP macros for whoever my twos partner is so i dont have to click portraits.

Didn't read the topic date till now and it says July 31 2010. but at least the info i put up is useful. also did not realize that not much of anything on this page is updated. I figured the front page of a forum would actually have recent topics lol.

BTW july 31st 2010 =/= 1 month old

the Date is August 08 2010

this thread is 9 days old.

This is a silly debate. The two classes require different skill and have varying results. On a ret paladin you can be pretty stupid and get away with it, but it IS actually hard to truly play the class to its fullest. There are alot of simple moment to moment decisions you have to make on a ret paladin like "Is it more beneficial to cleanse this or to crusader strike that" because you are usually limited by the gcd. You will usually get away with making the wrong decision here, but if you do, you aren't playing the class to its fullest. Now on a warrior it's a little more simple, especially at this level where you still don't have spell reflect, intervene, piercing howl (as arms or prot), or shattering throw, which create alot of the decision making dilemmas you encounter on a warrior. However you don't have heals or divine shield to save your ass when you make a mistake, so the class requires a little more disciplined play to stay on your feet in the meat grinder. Hope that helped!

lawl how is choosing whether to cleanse or crusader strike hard. 1.5sec gcd, OHNOEZ!!! either that debuff is going to kill you or it can wait 1.5 sec....a more prudent decision would be do i use instant FoL or exo. take a quick glance at life, then opponents life, and make quick decision.

pally is by far easier than a warrior and have a lot lower skill cap

You clearly missed the point, I was trying to SHOW how trivial the decision was. But none the less, if you were to chose the wrong skill, despite how minor the consequences would be, you wouldn't be playing the class to its fullest.
