What Spec? Paladins

I have tried nearly all the "hybrid classes". So far i find that paladins seem to do quite well in pvp. That long life is definetly handy in taking down groups of alliance with for some reason large amounts of hunters. My main question is which talent tree is better Prot or Ret? I know Ret does good single target dps, and Prot lives longer, has a long ranger attack and heals as good as holy. Idk thought which out weighs the other. Generally i think stacking stamin on the prot paladin would be helpful. Anyone can give their experiences with the better paladin spec?

Ret all the way... 'cuz if you're prot you will most likely end up SPAMMING EXO *insert maniac laughing here* ... and as ret you don't have to be ashamed if you **** stuff up and also you got buggy quad dmg -.-.

go prot intially to get instant queues, prot is quite good for killing hunters. Dont listen to beef(hes probs just pissed so many prots kill him) prot is the best spec since u wont be a lolret running around trying to farm mid and you will be actually able to be a proper flag carrier.

Ret can also tank in rnd dungeons.... so yea... we can kill hunters... we also can fc and everyone can kill beef srsly xD

ret wont be able to tank dungeons like stockades or bfd, its easier to kill hunters as prot, ret sucks at fcing, also jeras ret so he probably smokes alot XD

I was thinking this through the other day on my paladin. The biggest things to look at from what I saw were:



Prot:

15% stamina boost

I think my paladin has about 115 stam, so the boost would be ~17 stam, or 170 HP. That is pretty solid.



Avenger's Shield

A second long range attack outside of exorcism, and it slows/silences. This is great not only for hunters, but any healers also to interrupt their heals.



Ret:

20% 2h Damage boost

Only single target damage, but this is pretty big. Seeing some nice white hit crits is always a good thing, especially on hunters as they tend to get out of range as quick as possible.



Templar's Verdict

Nowhere near as good as the Shield imo, and you will likely use your holy power on self heals anyway. However, this is still a good finisher, with mine currently doing ~350+ dmg with 3 holy power.





In then end I stuck with Ret. My build is more for damage though, rather than being FC. The extra stam from Prot will be the way to go if you want to be a FC, although I find there is usually a shaman or druid in the group who wants to be FC.

I already tanked it and haha smoking is for dumbasses you can make a horde we can go Stocks or BFD i'll tank it for u AS RET without probs

Holy never goes down, prot is slow but efficient, and ret just kills stuff by looking at them.

If I can tank stocks and bfd as a fury warrior, I'm sure a prot pally can too.
