The the difference in XP being pretty substantial in those levels, what level are you when you finish with the starting zone now?
What level are you when you finish the DK quest line post 8.1

funny, I just found this out last night... decided to twink at 59 cuz why not, and didn't make it below 60 the first time.
I took off my heirlooms at 56 and still didn't make it, gotta use no XP looms at all, I think. Finished the second time at 59 1/2... and Blizz did it yet again, and you cant talk to your XP eliminator until you finish the quest to your faction leader.
I skipped a couple quests and killed almost nothing, still finished at 59 1/2. But at least it's still doable.
edit- I skipped the mailbox quest and the one where you turn in the crusader skulls, but you have to do the first part of that pair because it rewards an armor piece. Cant progress til it's done. The quest in the cave tossing the thing at the miners until you get 5 ghouls was just stupid hard to not kill anything, and the one where you "torture" crusaders until they give you information was difficult as well.
Also tried to tag mobs already in combat when I could. Half a level left tho, probably unnecessary.
