What is another good game?

when? all ive heard about is the next two map packs, and they're gonna be relatively cheap (like karkand), and optional
june 4th or something. one time fee, access to all expansions/dlcs including march 2013 one and tags, black knife, new camos, weapon camos

shit like that

i play on 360, so dont qq bout that and act like it effects all people
any patch for ANY game creates new glitches and bugs, so also dont bring that in to drag down bf3

it affects the platform that requires the most attention but instead is treated with neglect and delays
difference between dice and others devs is they don't hotfix shit, ever. I've played bf since 1942 and it's always the fucking same, except back then it wasn't gamebreaking(underslung hb dart, stingers fucked over, l85a2 no recoil/spread)
bf2 took them FIVE YEARS to wrap up with patch 1.5, I don't want to wait 4 more years to play bf3 without shitty hit detection, suppression that fucks up your accuracy and dartfags camping in every corner

but I'll still play
because

it's fun

hey they fixed dolphin diving pretty quick

but again, cant use that to knock bf3 as a whole when its one platform, requiring the most attention or not

also i dont find darts annoying, not any more than i was with frags. and isnt suppression supposed to lower accuracy??

try to walk a mile in my shit, then

m26 dart/mass on a g3 deals 34x9=306 dmg if all 9 projectiles register, three times more than what is required to kill a player on softcore servers
this is a confirmed bug, it was part of the march 30th update and they haven't even given us an ETA for when it'll be fixed

as for suppression it's an attempt to make the game more 'realistic', what it really does is reward players with poor aim. you can't return fire accurately when suppressed, the random bullet spread is too high and it takes too long for the effect to dissipate

darts do hurt, but they require a lot closer range than frags do/did. its funny that they nerfed shottys/frags and super buffed darts in one patch tho. im sure it will take a long time to fix tho, much like the mav elevator and everything else did, so enjoy it while it lasts.

im perfectly fine with suppression. i dont find it lasts too long, and it should lower your aim/reduce accurate return fire...if it didnt what would the point be

being one or two shot by buckshot/flechette darts at 60+ yards is a load of bullshit
I'm fine with getting ohk'd with slugs and sniper rifles because you actually have to aim with them

you're fine with suppression 'cause you play on a slow ass platform with aim assist
it doesn't improve the game, it's not a realistic mechanic and it doesn't reward striving for better aim. 90% of all suppression caused is unintended and a by-product of shitty players with shitty aim.

I don't mind the blurring/visual effect, but the random spread needs to go

ive never had my aims assisted
i dont follow how suppression is unrealistic tho. whats the point of a blurred screen if you can still aim perfectly, u should be shell shocked so to speak, have to take cover until it passes then go to work
also, 90% is a bit high for a made up statistic...i cant speak for everyone but when i suppress i generally mean to, much like the real world where thousands upon thousands of rounds are used for suppression for everyone one person killed in real combat

it's unrealistic in the sense that it makes your weapon behave like invisible magnets(lead is not magnetic, copper has no magnetic moment, I'm just painting a picture here) are pulling the bullets in different directions
what does shell shock have to do with anything? suppression does not equal shell shock, as if shell shock would disappear within a 4 second time frame anyway. I don't think so tim

it's possible to adjust to the mechanic, but impossible to fully overcome when you're not in control of how your weapon behaves, and therein lies the problem; a good player should be able to adapt and overcome, and later to manipulate the mechanics of the game to his advantage

but with suppression, there's no point, because it doesn't help you kill faster, and that's what it's all about. being quick and effective, unlike the full mag dump noobs who benefit from suppression 'cause they can't hit a barn door to begin with
I'd be fine with suppression in its current state IF it was restricted only to support players who have a lmg/gpg with a bipod out, with THE INTENT TO SUPPRESS an area, because that's their job

and while 90% is a gross overestimation, my point still remains

any gun on full auto should be able to suppress, not just support. because thats their job. 90% of the time a gun is used on full auto in real warfare its for suppression, not killing, regardless if its an m4 or an m240...but its a good direction to try and limit it

imo theres really no point of suppression existing if there is no negative effect tho. if "pro" players can just aim normally regardless of the blur then why blur at all, its just punishing noobs at that point. which may make you feel superior and awesome, but ruins game play for the majority. maybe in hardcore only though it still kind of makes no sense to have the mechanic if at the end of the day there wont be a penalty

also: shell shock was being used as a synonym of the suppression effect, i.e there was a large explosion (or 50 rounds just went over your head) and you dont know left from right and you cant hear (and loss of hearing effects balance, aim, etc)...not shell shock as in the old term for PTSD, which obviously doesnt disappear in 4 seconds

first off
I MAD

2nd
if they want to make a realistic game they should do it properly and not half-ass it with blur and random spread

3rd
noobs should be encouraged to get better

4th
then they should go all the way, ears ringing, camera shaking, the whole nine yards, but preferably not in bf3 because it's not that type of game

Anyone else hate it when shooters claim to be realistic and then you can take several shots from most guns not get hit for a few seconds and be ok to go all over again?

If you love RPGs and can live with not so up-to-date graphics, I would highly recommend Baldur's Gate 2 and it's expansion pack Throne of Bhaal.

It was the forefather of Dragon Age Origins, you control a party of up to 6 characters that you lead on an epic journey. It is widely regarded as one of the best PC games of all time, and for good reason.

For sheer playability and replayability none of the modern games can touch it. Buy it, revel in it, and pump hundreds of hours into it. RPG games will never be the same again.

Also if you can stand old graphics and want an atmospheric survival horror with RPG elements in a first person shooter, try System Shock 2. It redefines, scary.

Uncharted 1, 2, 3.

Very good games.
