If you click through to the Wowhead page you linked to, one of the first things it tells you is that it converts to this one.

You would lose ur rep with them since there is no alliance counterpart and the cloak would be useless but it will still be in ur bag

hmm not according to wowhead

says it will be converted into Kirin Tor Offensive Tabard

maybe rep will convert into that faction

Wowhead might say that, but I very much doubt it will convert, AND be equip-able, simply because the rep associated with that tabard is from a level 90 faction that was, not too long ago, endgame and thus is meant to be an annoyingly long grind. I mean, can you imagine how easy it would be to grind Tranquilian to exalted and then just faction change?

I think there was a misunderstanding, Sunreaver Onslaught rep converts, not Tranquilien. Tranquilien has no Ally equivalent, but if you faction changed back to Horde some day you'd regain the rep.
