What do you think is the ultimate 1v1 spec at 20?

I’d imagine it has to be one with some form of heals (whether skills or talents) and enough damage to outperform active or passive mitigation abilities.

Hybrid? Pure healer with decent DPS, or pure DPS that’s able to go full HAM and 100-0 during Cc?

Idk how it goes atm... but in BFA ret was hands down the best spec for 1v1s in BFA. They were tanky and their mana regen was great so by the time you could even get their health back down they'd be full mana and ready to heal themselves back up again. Ret also had enough damage to kill anything within a hoj window and an oh shit button. Nothing would beat a ret that knew what they were doing. So, historically, I can see how someone would think it's ret.

I would imagine balance druid or ret paladin are kings of 1v1 nowadays.
