What counts as solo'ing?

Is it just buffs you can get outside of needing to be in party?



Do party buffs count as long as you do all the dmg / heals? (i.e. no healing stream totem)



Things you can just self buff with?



It's twinking ... everything counts?



What are you thoughts? Personally, I like the first one ... but I'm doing some crazy stuff with the second right now that videos will be incoming soon.

i would say soloing is you vs the boss/mob...nobody else in party unless they were there to form a raid or something (not necessary in lvl 1-9 soloing). definitions may vary i suppose, but in the truest sense, solo is you vs the world. so you can have buffs, but only ones that dont require you to be in a party to receive, except maybe a feast since lvl 1s cant set them down. but no totem buffs if you arent a shaman for example, at least from my perspective

everything YOU can bring, YOU can use. Its not solo if you use something someone else brings.

hmm, interseting topic.....i would say buffs others can cast on u would be fine, but i noticed the thorns now is different, the damage doesn't scale down the duration does, so seems Blizz might have changed there ideas on this aswell. i got a 55 pally i use to run my lvl 1 around with ret aura, which, even if i did all the damage to a mob, i would say, do to the aura, is not solo'ing. Totems should fall under this, too, imo. also, gettin healing from others(party or no), of course, would not be solo. so, to me, Solo'ing is anything i can do outside of a party, including all the damage and no help with healing, cc, debuffs, etc. when i solo, i litrally play by myself, with no one helping (including buffs).

I think others can buff you, get you zonewide buffs. BUT you need to be only healing yourself, and only one doing dmg to the target! Just imo :]

I think that if you are alone in your party, it counts as soloing. add killers that dont affect you or the boss doesnt count, they just keep it 1VS1.
