I agree fully but what right do 20s 110s twinks have then compared to other twink brackets? And here comes the thing what I try to discuss the whole time. Because I can "test" the game without bgs too
It's just how the system has been running since starter edition accounts came out & how the mechanics of not owning the latest expansion work.
As soon as starter editions were released people pushed them to their limits. It's an online rpg, that's what happens.
They can join battlegrounds because it's a large part of why people play the game. It's a fairly unique aspect of wow as an rpg game... You can level, acquire gear through quests, loot and dungeons and then speak to a battlemaster to get pushed against others your level. It's an aspect of the game that Blizzard will want to expose to the new players.
Veterans and those that do it to twink do take advantage of this. But it's not necessarily a bad thing. I quit after a year of tbc. Came back in early cata to a starter edition, quickly learned how to deck my 20 frost mage out with bis gear and bam. I was hooked for that enjoyable rush of creating a character, finding bis and farming for it - then testing it in pvp through battlegrounds. I subscribed shortly after... It's a good model for how endgame is. level up, gear, pvp or pve, explore and be proud of the toon you create.
The 110 thing is just the way that the game works. Blizzard isn't going to allow those that haven't purchased or contributed to the latest expansion to level through it. Therefore they're stuck at 110 and their xp is still on. They fall into the same category.
Oversight by blizzard? I don't know. They still pay for their subscription, they still bought legion, let them enjoy the game they've paid for up until they want to level past 110 - which they cant...
