Droodood. There's no way around the GCD created by weapon switching and there shouldn't need to be an explanation for why a GCD is created...because blizzard made it that way?
To restate what has already been stated; If you are not weapon switching as Arms then you are doing it wrong. Sit in defensive stance, spam rend on as many people as possible and focus on weapon switching the second you get a crusader proc. Atm I am using three weapon switch macros and that is working out fine. I usually don't need a 4th because by the time my 3rd crusader procs; the first one is about to fall off so I switch back to the first one.
Don't try to make a fancy macro for weapon switching. Just use Equipment Manager and deselect everything but your weapon. I recommend different weapon mogs to know which weapon you have up.
