Was the fishing tournament available yesterday?

Just wondering. The gurubashi arena event wasn't available on release -- a little over 1 year after, and it is available already. Does anyone know if the fishing tournament is also available? I wasn't able to check yesterday.

I didn't see a fish turn-in person, so I was thinking the same thing. It appears it was first available in patch 1.7 so it should have been available.

I haven't seen any announcements one way or another... but yeah, it definitely didn't happen yesterday.

Patch 1.7 was when they revamped Stranglethorn Vale for the Zul'Gurub raid, so I suppose it could be indirectly "linked" to that... If that turns-out to be the case, then we'd have to wait until "Phase 4" of the Classic updates.

Went to check yesterday, dont think i've seen any announcers in capital, didnt see turn-in dudes either, and schools of fish were still standard ones.

Not sure if all schools are supposed to respawn as tastyfish , but havent seen neither of the first two atleast.
