warriors?

is this class anygood? i've seen a few warriors in the bracket battlebeats, jackdaniels etc.

EDIT: Also some of the coolest kids are leaveing mnkey and dako etc. why?

Actually warriors aren't half bad even without a pocket healer. They work well on D if your FC kites and sets paths.

I beg to differ, compared to other classes Warriors sucks imo - I'd rather play a Warlock, they can atleast reach their opponent. And yeah, I can admit they work somewhat good on D, as long as they're not targeted.

No, Warriors aren't good unless pockethealer, and I could care less about two US-chars leveling to 20.

warriors are fine i can rock any bg im in and im pretty sure he didnt ask for ur opinion about dako and mnkey he asked why they were leaving

false. warriors are very good on D, you want them targeting you instead of your FC because you wear mail armor and get rage from being hit. also, if you're kited and can't reach anyone while on D you are not doing it right.

i would have to disagree with cinderblock and just point out that prot pallies are much better than warriors for FCing, (hunters are the best obviously). thunderclap is the only advantage a warrior has. heals/BOP/HoJ all outweigh it though.

Since when does not the FC wear mail armor? Very rare cases are Druid FCs but as I said, it's pretty rare. And sure, if you're fine with a Hunter kiting you around but happy as long as you're getting rage, well then I am totally okey with it.

I just don't want to spread false info here and let OP become too optimistic.

Hunters are the best FC? really??? On the War V Pally I'd have to say that the best FC is and will always be heavily comp dependent. For a heavy defense comp War > Pally.

what does a prot warr bring to the table that outweighs all the things i listed? thunderclap is very good but not game changing like HoJ, BoP, lay on hands, heals... etc....

also i say hunters are the best FC because they are not completely useless wearing stam heavy gear, they can kite like crazy. even with stam gear they still CC and do good damage, whereas prot warriors have no p. howl and do zero damage. prot pallies are second best IMO, especially because of avenger's shield.

unless you can tell me what a prot warrior has that beats heals, bop, lay on hands, hoj, and avenger's shield, i will maintain that a pally will always be a better FC, and that the warrior should just be fury for p. howl and doing shit tons of damage to attackers (playing defense as intended)

I have 3 level 19 "twinks". A warrior, a hunter and a pally.

Warriors are extremely (extremely!) gear dependant and skill dependant at all levels. Unless you have every damn component just right, you will fail. But, you can eat a rogue at 19. If you charge the hunter first, you will generally win.

Pally's in my opinion are a much more resilient and forgiving class, better flag carriers and can bring more utility to a team. My warrior with better gear, trinkets and time played would go down to my pally if I could ever play them against each other.

Hunters are hunters.

Of the 3, the warrior is by far the funnest to play. But they are unfortunately pretty squishy. You have heard of "Glass Cannon's" in WoW. Warriors are aluminum cannons. But in the hands of a good player and with the right gear, they are a force in WSG. You have seen it, I am sure.

i dont see how warriors are that hard? i mean the damage you can do is retarded, and piercing howl/follow with auto attacks is gonna do retarded damage...sure you wont do too well vs hunters...but what can you expect of a melee class vs a hunter?

Warrior has the debuffs/defensive abilities that the has to class offer: Charge for movement/stun/interrupt, sunder armor (great against other pallies/warriors), thunderclap 20% atk speed reduction, an execute (especially useful with vengeance stacked), and bleed as a DoT.

Speccing Prot grants an offensive dispel in shield slam, an additional 10% armor if talented (compared to paladin which can only get 3%), and talented with blood and thunder rend is spread and also has the duration refreshed on everyone in range. Since it is a ranged attack and cannot be dodge/parried it becomes especially useful in keeping rend up on rogues to prevent restealth and as AoE pressure. Prot warrior has the most damage reduction possible for any FC in the bracket.

I will not make the argument that protwar is better in all situations compared to a protpally, but I do believe that the spec deserves serious consideration for FCing even if it is heavily comp dependent.

More stuff.. more stuff... drunk... maybe later :p

Go fury with a pocket healer in a BG. vs ranged you and your healing needs to los hug and most warriors in 19s I see play D in flagroom (ally side the most atleast in my POV) so you have lots of LOS vs hunters. i've seen some warriors do none stop crits for 600-700 sometimes 800 bloodthirts.
