Warrior weapon crit chance

Since I am playing on a fresh realm with quite low population, I have never seen Shadowfang on AH. I have been trying to farm it, but then i heard it only drops from 21+ mobs and i gave that up. I found a cheap Skeletal Club on AH for 1g, and thought I might try the poor-mans Shadowfang.

What i instantly noticed was that my crit chance went down by about 5%. I have 5/5 Cruelty, but one-handed maces should also be included in this, right?

Here is a screenshot of me with my heirloom [Venerable Dal'Rend's Sacred Charge], which gives 4sta, 3crit, 6ap.

So, can anyone explain to me why I'm losing so much crit with these maces? Has anyone experienced anything similar? It's really frustrating.

at first blush, im gonna say your weapon skill is likely significantly lower with maces than sword. Max out that weapon skill!
