Scarlet Monastery is being completely revamped in Mists of Pandaria. For those that don’t know, the earliest epic available, Dead Man’s Hand, will be removed from the game. Additionally, Blizzard will be upping the level requirement of the Maraudon quest. This quest rewards BIS items for all classes: Leggings of the Verdant Oasis, Zaetar’s Gloves, Shield of Maraudon, and Sandals of Glorious Life.
There is still time to get these items! Dead Man’s Hand, looted from Arcanist Doan of the Library wing has had its drop rate increased. I have had five drop just in the last week. The Princess Theradras can be completed at level 28, but it requires a higher level to assist. It is an auto-accept quest that comes from dropping down the waterfall before Princess Theradras’ portion of Mara.
You might be thinking it isn’t worth it to invest time in a bracket you don’t play. But consider this: grandfathered twinks can be sold for big money. A 29 Rogue recently went for $1400, a Shaman and Priest have gone for $500 each.
If selling isn’t your cup of tea, the bracket itself has plenty to offer. US 29s play Sunday and Tuesday nights from 9PM ET until 1AM, and often later. Simultaneous games occur often. Almost everyone who plays joins us in vent. We have dedicated FCs, healers, target callers. I’m not lying when I say 29s are consistently the most competitive BG scene outside 70 and 85 RBGs.
If you need help or advice, don’t hesitate to speak up on TI or the Battleground Forums. Several people make their real-id accessible for helping with runs. There are even a few guilds offering full funding. But time is running out. Act now or miss out forever.
