Warlock Tank

All this talk about premades has got me messing around with chardev.

This built made me wonder how effective it could be, from my experience locks are by far the easiest class to heal. The only thing I would be concerned about would be getting gibbed, which I don't think would happen with this build.

holy cow good luck getting all those BoEs but yeah if you could pull that off, the lock probably wouldnt get gibbed. Only problem with a lock FC is their lack of mobility imo.

I think you're gimping yourself in terms of damage. I think warlocks have the potential to be incredible incredible tanks, but one of their strongest points is that they can deal steady damage - I win battles because I can deal enough enemy hp in the time it takes them to down me.

Imo, BoEs not considered, go ivycloth 4/3 (instead of 5), serpent gloves, and corpse rompers (maaaaybe switch out the hoggers?). And go 3/3 dark arts instead of the pet abilities you have now (your imp will be a serious source of damage!)

Oh and please hitcap! Getting a fear off adds an awesome amount of survivability - if you miss it, you're giving an enemy so much more time to DPS you down.

tl;dr - warlocks already tank well enough, stacking stam is great (and demo is solid) but you're doing yourself a disservice by not having any damage.

I actually really like that. I've been meaning to try something like this out if I would ever get an MM. Just curious, are you determined to be alliance?

Also, I'm considering my earlier statement about specs. I think those last three points deserve a lot of experimentation. I'd definitely go 3/3 dark arts with a smart healer, but fel synergy may be worth it when pugging.

I'm not determined to be alliance, I've actually been meaning to play horde more. I'm just more familiar with the gear.

If you chose horde the gear wouldnt be drastically different. Wind Rider Wand / Garrosh's Pardon for -1 stam and +4 int. Or Slippers of Unturned Loyalties / Garrosh's Pardon for +1 int and a small loss of armor.

Also, your chardev doesn't have enchants, so incoming 25 health/armor and whatnot! I think you'd be relatively set.

Again, I seriously think you're doing yourself a disservice by cutting your spell power so drastically. Also, you'll frankly never get all of those BoEs unless you're p2p.

And the talent Demonic Aegis is unfortunately next to useless at this level =/

He has 4/3 int/stam instead of the other way around and I don't believe he has the gloves or boots. But he has a badass spirit set, and let's be honest, that's what really matters.

And verh, I think you're looking at a really solid demo warlock. Get an agm for when sig is on CD, obviously, and you won't be missing out much from ally to horde. I simply think horde is the way to go solely because of queue times

I'd love to hear how this turns out! Like I said, if I could ever get mm (and once i finish agm) ill be trying something like this out also
