Warlock Dot And Die spec? Bis Pet? Tips and Tricks?

Im gonna go with the Max Spell power gear build. Im in debate whether I need pious leggings as they are a huge pain to get help with.. I do have some Darkweave already with spell arcanum.

Looking over spec possibilities now. Im considering 5/5 Imp Corruption 5/5 Demonic Embrace. Im uncertain what is BIS.. I will do some testing as always to find what I am confortable with..

Mostly just making a lock twink to soulstone my body guard friends or my priest.

Any tips for play? I am looking to max spell power to dot the whole enemy team and die to get fresh mana pool.
 
You want to go 5/5 suppresion 5/5 imp corruption especially as alliance or you will just get resists 24/7. Dotting a few guys and dying ain't really the optimal play as your dots don't do enough dmg to warrant that, you need several dot rotations on most vital targets.

If you are out of combat just lifetap to 1% and bandage to full without spending time at gy, combine with run drinking/eating and you will be more than fine, knowing how much hp u need to regen comes with experience with playing. Most games u will be the favorite target of undead rogues but just try and get as many cooldowns from them as possible and you have done your job succesfully.

You can die on purpose but make sure its aligned well with rez timer and it actually benefits the team as a whole and not just yourself. A well played warlock can make a big difference and you should try and make plays with fear especially, always look to get a positional advantage and use your voidwalker sacrifice to get fears thru or to survive a rogues whitehits when you need to stay afloat. Try and get Pious legs as they are very much bis for warlocks and you need all the stamina u can get when going max spellpower in all slots.

Raise your expectations from just being a soulstone... If you would only provide some dots in mid and a soulstone your team would be at a lower chance of winning, even fully sp stacked our dots do nowhere near the dmg needed for that strat to work(go make 39 warlock if u want to watch people just die from dots).

Hell your wand provides the best dps still and every other caster has that available to them, your job is way more focused on disturbing people, getting them lower in hp/mana before the actual real fight on O or D and providing great fears for your team.

If you are gnome use the mortar stun while moving to get a free fear on someone, if you are human (female) abuse the fact that you can go thru ally fence and fuck with potential efcs.

So dont worry about dps mainly.. Support the team! I like that. Ive geared my shammehn to be healer not just a stabby face toon cause often times it helps to have just a little off heals.. to go with that support of purge and Earthbind totem.

Voidwalker if you have soulstones.

Yes, you do need https://classic.wowhead.com/item=10043/pious-legwraps - my warlock friend uses them and has decent amount of hp although he has almost full shadow wrath gear.

Don't expect to deal a lot of damage as a lvl 19 warlock twink even with full shadow wrath gear. Gameplay wise, your goal is basically to stay with the team and fear spam (CC) as if you're griefing the opponent.

Don't expect to get kills with your DoTs, but remember that heals are somewhat weak/or mana consuming for the healers as well, so if you're dot'ing everything, then it will have an impact in the BG by dropping their twink health by 500 damage within 20 sec or so. It may not satisfy you in HK scoreboard, but your AoE cleavage dps will have an impact in the BG overall

I dont expect to be an HK king.. I never play that way.. Lock is sounding a lot more fun to play as support and less of a joke now.

Voidwalker is definitely the best pet, imp is generally not that useful. Sacrifice can be very clutch especially when used to secure a fear, as the shield prevents castbar knockback. You definitely want to run multiple sets, I recommend mainly stam for pugs as it allows you to disrupt as much as possible. Full SP is great as well but best when you have a competent team.
