Warglaives

So I'm lvling this rogue up with the intentions of making him a 70 twink. From what I've read it seams the warglaives off hand is bis and the main hand is not. (correct me if I'm wrong). Either way Id still like to get both for obvious cosmetic purposes. I'm just wondering how difficult it is to obtain both these items. I've never done black temple in the past or anything. Are they considered "rare" or hard to get?

Thnx in advance. Cheers

actually im fairly sure Mounting Vengeance is BiS OH which drops from swp trash also the glaives aren't very hard to get the drop chance on each of them is 4% drop chance which is quite high really

Ah I c. Great thank u for this info. Appreciate it.

yea along with everything that was said BT is not hard. if youre going to be leading a pug raid you should take a few mins and learn all the fights and how to navigate the raid. doesnt take many 85s to take it down quickly but itll help to know what to do if others dont

That's partly what I was wondering too. I gave never seen the inside of black temple ever. So I have no idea how any of the fights work or anything. I was hoping I could get a few 85's from my mains guild to run me thru. Pay them off even. If it's as easy as u say hopefully it won't be hard to persuade them to help me out.

Nope he isn't, nearly every rogue/warrior/dk has them as you'll come to see in battlegrounds.

And in fact Hand of Deceiver is the main-hand fist weapon from Kil'Jaden, the weapon you mean is Mounting Vengeance which is arguably BiS off-hand.

With a shiv weapon switch macro of course.
my mistake, i always get those two mixed up

just go on wowhead, there should be guide videos on there and in the comments you'll prolly find help on how to walk around the raid from boss to boss (tho its fairly straight forward)

if theres no vids just read the strats and learn the boss abilities...but it really shouldnt be hard with some 85s you can negate most boss mechanics

What I usually do when pugging is bring 10 people altogether. 9 (8 of them being 85) dps and 1 healer. Its overkill for sure but you have to keep in mind not everyone will be paying attention or actually trying. Even if they dont know the fights, the amount of dps makes up for it except for when they dont understand how to form a triangle...

mother can be an annoying fight if the people just dont bother to follow mechanics. shouldnt wipe 85s but you or any low people prolly will die

oh and council just making sure people know what to do since most pugs just want to do whatever and not listen to abilities, but if its a closer grp of people - who hopefully know the fights or will listen - it shouldnt be an issue

*shrug* It's all RNG, really.

You might get both of them in your first week, or you could have luck like an ach whore friend of mine who has been after them for two years with no drop. Lol.

I personally got lucky and nabbed the offhand after three weeks, but now of course the MH will take a year to drop ;) I'm shooting to get it sometime in December so I can equip it on the 25th and say "merry christmas to me".

Also, I haven't really had any troubles with mother sharaz fight, if my groups wipe it is always at the shadow council, because I can't keep up with interrupting heals and the 85's that are usually talked into going on raids seem to have terrible dps and aren't smart enough to exchange interrupts with me. If you can get a handful of people and wind up pulling ~30-40k dps overall, it's no big deal.

Regardless, I would always make sure you ML on illidian, or even reserve the glaives. I've had plenty of friends QQ about now somebody ninja rolled their glaive ;) lmao. If you can't find people, then offer like a 2-5k pot that you will give to the highest roller *if* a glaive drops. Incentives always help.

If you keep at it, you'll get them :)

I would also reccomend playing with a set of non-daggers for sub, so that you won't be so out of a comfortable zone once you manage to snag both glaives.

Non-daggers (ShS hemo) is more control based due to better CP generation, the daggers just give more burst. I prefer non daggers anyway.. but I'll just throw that out there. It's fun stuff :)

just what volsci said, there considered rare, but its all rng

a warrior in my guild got both in two weeks, a rogue in my guild has run 20 ish runs and hasnt gotten any

theres still RNG involved, but the drop rate was buffed significantly from BC times iirc. so just pug it every week and you should get them sooner rather than later, but best of luck
