EU+US Warforged Ruined the Twink Experience

Has the durability of the Invasion gear been fixed or is it still quite breakable after a bg or two? I wasn't particularly fussed about devoting time to collecting +10ilvl gear in case I forgot to repair it and became to expensive (therefore useless). Feel a bit short changed (ironic for a f2p) when you look at the time satchel farming for the right cloak or belt etc.

Furthermore, it would seem only a handful of people have got complete sets, good effort by them! So assuming people equip the gear they did get, bgs would still be fairly balanced (?!) - depending on numbers of 29's and levelers.

Unfortunately it's such a low % difference that there will most likely be a + 1 or +2 stat change.

Not sure on the... breakability (ehh, haha) of the gear but the cost to repair was fixed awhile back.

I don't think I even had it break 1g to repair, might be wrong though.
 
In my opinion the invasions were AWESOME, Finaly a major event which put my beloved twink to use with Rich reward!
I told my GF i would play nonstop for 3 weeks, so she basicly left to her parrents... Sacrifices made. I got a hell lot of energy drinks, and played nearly Every invasion there was. it took about 80 felbats before i had Every single piece of 2x WF gear there was. Except for Waist! and at that time i had 7 days left before the 30th. Confident i would get BiS i would allow myself to sleep and miss an invasion every 24 hours... 3 days later , with tons of chests opened i was starting to seriously worry to not get the Waist.
So i decided i couldnt miss a single invasion from that point on, i put my alarm every 2 hours and literally played till i lost consciousness. 36 hours before Legion.... I saved up 30 small chests to open and i went to Iron Forge... and prayed at the mighty forges, (the best place i could imagine for getting extra chanse on Warforged) I opened all the boxes and there it was!
my ilvl 34 2x WF waist. I WAS SO HAPPY!!!!! and i wanted to give up so many times... This was truely a test of Luck and determination!
I've been to nearly all Moon wells in azeroth to pray, including the Temple of the moon and The enterence of WSG ofcourse, And eventually the great forged of Iron Forge.

I even have 156 Large chests and 42 small chests on the bank in case with the Legion changes to WF gear, the items inside have a chanse to become Titanforged... Now if i could get my hands on one of those..... *-*

The new place to tink is 99 bois. The stat difference is significant there.
 
Blizzard rewarded the deadbeat kids/young adults that sit on their asses all day and night in their parents basements.

People who have jobs, careers and lives got shafted as usual.

You're a real downer, you know that?

I can only speak for myself, but I've been twinking since 2007-8, and I can say with all honesty I don't regret a second of it. Much of the early years of doing it was when I had tons of free time (college/breaks). I've made some lifelong friends doing it. I have a college degree, a full time salaried job that pays pretty well, etc. A couple of weeks of getting paid to RDP in and stop my character from AFKing (I didn't know about the macro) every 30 minutes isn't a life-changing detriment.

Farming this event was also not difficult (just a bit time consuming), in fact I could have had full TF if i started a bit earlier, and used the macro overnight.
 
There's no question that farming TF required dedication, but to say that luck or rng wasn't a factor is false. Some people have spent literally every hour in the last few weeks, even using AFK macro over night, and still didn't get full TF. Congratulations if you got full TF, but don't assume that those who didn't get it, didn't spent just as much time as you.
 
If the journey isn't enjoyable, the reward will not be worthwhile. That's the happy approach to MMO's.

But, addressing the thread title: warforged is mostly irrelevant to pvp. It's the overall changes to gear stats in pvp that largely destroyed twinking (and improved bg's). Sure, you can still grind for some technical 'BIS,' but the practical reality is it won't matter much to game play. That's a good thing both for those who have that itch for a grind, and for those who enjoy competitive pvp.

I know 100% I spent more time doing it than half the people who got full WF. 7/9 isn't bad, but I feel retarded logging on now.

Yo I once hit 1550 with a keyboard turning DK friend from real life in the rare and unseen Frost DK Holy Priest pairing when arenas first came out. You wanna fight about it or something?
 
I ended up 6/10 on my rogue which is the only twink I run. Used no afk while sleeping or at work and did all I could while at home. I didn't keep numbers so no idea how many boxes I opened. Currently sitting at an ilvl of 43. Would be 45 if I had gotten the last three pieces (didn't need the helm, luckily didn't get it).

I guess I'm okay with this. A 0.2% loss in bgs is insignificant. Plus I still have a trinket slot that needs an AGM/Hook which would up my ilvl more then if I had the missing +10 ilvl pieces. Time will tell what it means for duels/WPvP.
