Visible ratings for low-lvl PvP (All brackets)

Is there a macro/script that can be used to check this?
Unfortunately not. You will have to wait for the website to update - which it can't too often, because pulling data from the API too often will ban you from doing it at all. I think Healium is planning to run an update once or twice a day.
Alternatively, it's possible to manually update a single character by having it deleted from the list by Healium and then re-adding it through the "add character" feature on the site.

Afking out of a skirmish counts as a loss. So does getting a queue pop and not entering. "Indicating how tainted the system is/can be" is a completely moot point because it's literally the same as any other rated system in the game.

Actually, it is quite different from any other rated system in the game. As this one is not ran by Blizzard. And this one has a minuscule amount of people playing in it many of which use this site and know each other. This increases the odds of win trading by an incalculable amount. It also serves no purpose other than "bragging rights". Where as in the "other" rating systems there were reasons for such ratings.
I am not stating that system wrong or bad in any way. I am just stating that is it not perfect and that people should be aware of it's imperfections going in. Anything that brings activity to Twinkdom should be considered awesome. Something such as this, can be used across the spectrum of all Twink brackets.

Perhaps you misunderstand - this rating system is actually run by Blizzard. All the website does is take the information (mmr, win/loss, rating), that was previously hidden to us, and lists it.

And yes, a smaller community does increase the risk of wintrading occurring as I already pointed out in post 17 in this very thread... But thanks for repeating it, I guess.
You are also correct that this rating serves no purpose other than bragging rights. But, again, this is something that has always been the case in our bracket - as well as any bracket apart from maxlevel that has had access to rated arenas in the past.

We are perfectly aware of every "problem" that this system has because, again, they are the exact same "problems" that we had when we were able to queue for rated arenas pre-wod.

It should not put a stop to it. No one suggested that it should be stopped. I just indicated how tainted the system is/can be.
For example, we all know win/loss ratios mean nothing on a toon's armory because all you have to do is simply /AFK out of a losing losing game. Thus, those records have been comprised. At least until Blizzard instills an /AFK statistic as well. Something I have championed for years, but will it is doubtful it will happen since it goes against their business model.
Now, I don't even know if a person's toon's MMR takes a hit on a loss if you leave before the gates open when you solo queue. And to be honest, I could care less if it does in a twink bracket. Epeen means absolutely nothing to me. Epeen does mean a lot to some some people. And this system will suit them well.
I am sure that some of you that have regular teams do care. And would be interested in knowing your placement within your bracket. Just be aware that the system is fallible.
My comment was not directed at anyone else than Healium.

As this one is not ran by Blizzard.

It is. This is what a lot of people seem to simply not understand.

This is not some made-up system by players. It's not some add-on doing whatever. This is actual data from Blizzard's own servers.

Are you guys aware that the old macro for joining BG's and not gaining experience (now fixed) STILL works for skirmishes? So a BIS twink can join hundreds / thousands of experience-on skirmishes, annihilate everyone, get top rating and never actually level.

I know this because I do it on my lvl 99 twink, I did it yesterday in fact. I've done many hundreds of exp-on skirmishes @99 and lost maybe 3. And I only lost those 3 because it was 1v2 verse a decent dps / healer team. So this artificially inflates your rating compared to twinks who only queue exp-off.

It's very easy for a lvl 70 twink to do the same.

The data is taken from https://dev.battle.net/ right?

You need to apply for the right you use the data and you need a website to do it. Plus you are limited to how many requests you can do per day etc. So it's 100% not something that can be achieved via a macro or addon. Is that correct?

I don't know anything about API's but I had a quick look at that website.

When you level up (which is what people leveling up do all the time, yknow), your ratings and mmr resets. That means that you can't get anywhere near a decent amount of rating from doing something like that. You'll just get +0 for every win.

Yes, you cannot do this with a macro or add-on. It has to be done this way.

What? There is no levelling up. I said experience-on skirmishes without gaining experience. So you can farm experience-on players at lvl 70 forever and never receive a single point of experience.

-they- are the ones leveling up.

Oh yea that makes sense. Although there are definitely players that level up via arenas only. And good ones should have a decent rating if they have been doing it non-stop from say lvl 70 to 78/79. There'd still be points to gain for sure. maybe not as effective as I first thought though.

People would actually spend tens of thousands of gold, or the way you describe it hundreds of thousands, to stroke their epeen? More power to them I suppose if that is what makes them happy.

I know all rights and i got the green signal to use the Battle.NET API Key don't care :D

Hey HealiumEU I have an idea for the eliteguilds website.
Why don't you remove all the individual language ladders like German, French, Russian, etc.. And instead just make 3 ladders: Top World, Top Europe, Top North America.

It's annoying that we can't filter away the US people without also filtering away the other European languages that we actually play against, unlike the US people who we don't play against.
