Alright techheads, I'm looking for a video card that may not exist yet for my forthcoming computer, but I'm hoping someone here can save the day.
I'm close to getting my hands on three 19" monitors. I want to use them side by side, rotated, so that essentially I have a 3 x 1240 x 1280 desktop. This will let me play WoW at 3720 x 1280, and I'd love to use one modern video card to do it.
Facts:
1) I understand that an SLI setup (or even just a second video card) may do this for me. But I'd rather use one video card to avoid potential driver issues.
2) The Matrox Triplehead2Go is not an option, because it does not support rotated monitors (from what a newegg reviewer pointed out).
3) WoW supports any resolution, confirmed by both multiple users and a blue post in WoW's tech support forum.
I've seen several cards that have a DVI port, displayport, and HDMI port all on the same card -- normally that would work for me (I'll get any adapters necessary). I've also read warnings that these cards often combine video channels, such that using one video port disables the use of another port. For example, this card has four digital ports (VGA and Svideo don't count), but a reviewer saved my bacon when noting that the card cannot drive more than two monitors at once.
So, I'm looking for one video card, three digital outputs, three video channels. Does it exist?
Thanks in advance to you fellow techheads out there!
