Veteran Twinking BiS?

Hi guys,

This is one of my first times posting here so be gentle xD

Now that I have been playing end-game stuff for a couple of months, it got quite boring. I let my time lapse on my p2p acct because i wasn't enjoying end-game anymore. Garrisons, while fun and interesting at first, became incredible repetitive and annoying. Between the daily apexis quests and garrison stuff, I was spending hours on my max lvl toons each day just farming mats. It became a second job, 5 lvl 3 garrisons take a while to clear out xD.

Anyway, rant aside, I recently found out about this veteran status ill be getting on my main acct. While I plan on keeping my f2p acct as is I defiantly want to take advantage of this new feature. I wanna make the absolute best lvl 20 twink I can so I was wondering if there was any place I could find BiS enchants and gear for a lvl 20 without the restrictions of a f2p acct. I wanna get one more month and pimp a twink out so i can use it when my sub time is expired.

I'm in the same boat as you, where 3 garrisons became too much of a chore when all I wanted was to PvP. Also family and job gives me little time to play, so my 100s were barely getting conquest capped let alone the rating I wanted.

You should be careful around here talking about veteran 20s, as a lot of f2ps are not too keen on it. Basically all the pros of being free, with all the enchants and looms from being p2p.

In any case, I suggest checking the gear scaling index in this forum and wowhead for enchant scaling.
 
I would suggest waiting for more definitive information from Blizzard. All that has been confirmed thus far is that 'veteran' accounts are trials with access to old guilds, created within a dormant paid account. There is much speculation being presented as misinformation (some of it contradicting known info, i.e. xp locks). Point this out and you're likely to get your head bitten off. Just wait and see.
 
The life of a veteran F2P on TI will likely be with one foot in this forum and the other foot in the 20-29 forum, as your best gear will come from here but your best enchants will come from there, and your best professions at 225 will be from neither, or whomever welcomes those players into their community.
 
It's going to be one expensive month (if you plan to gear a few at the same time).
I guess the faction refund works once, but then you will have to pay 20€/char to get BiS factioned gear.
Not sure how many that will go this far for the extra stats, but I think some will.
Veteran is not f2p, it's just as much p2win as 29. You PAY for subscription to get your BiS none-f2p gear/enchants.

Okay , but what if you lost some items in the rollback that you obtained on alliance side?
..come on man, everyone used to do this.

So I was looking and couldn't really find any gear for a lvl 20 that's better than what is already BiS for f2pers, haven't looked too much so far tho so there might be something. I'll keep looking. As far as the enchants go, I didn't even think to just use the lvl 29 twink section. Thanks for the tip Kincaide, I was trying to reinvent the wheel xD

I didnt even think about professions tho,I may just have to make a gnome twink so i can use Goblin Rocket Helmet xD

Guild heirlooms will be available to f2p chars and in most cases will be BIS (especially the head pieces).

You won't be able to use that Rocket Helmet either once the sub runs out as I'd assume your profs will revert to the f2p limit of 100 so you won't meet the requirements to equip it

People have experimented on F2Ps with upgrading and then raising their professions and bank slot numbers, and then reverting their upgrade through illicit means. Without giving any support to those methods, we know from the results that the bank slots and professions did not revert. There's no real reason to think that veteran accounts would be any different. Good news, huh? :)
