Veteran Priest Gearing Guide

Sorry to interrupt the circle jerk, but it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT VETERAN ACCOUNTS CANNOT USE ENCHANTING SCROLLS BECAUSE BLIZZ HATES ANYTHING GOOD AND BEAUTIFUL IN THE WORLD. Sorry for caps.

Explain more what you mean....
Once we have scrolls in our bags we can't apply them?
Once they are applied they are disabled?
We can't make enchanting scrolls anymore?

maybe what he means is that some enchants need to be applied on a higher level account. in which case you would need an active subscription to access a higher account to apply the enchant. cos by definition veteran means your subscription has already ended

Correct. I knew I wouldn't have time to level and gear all the chars I wanted before the end of my sub so I had my 90 horde mage on tich and my 90 ally war on Kel'thuzad make and send each character the scrolls they would need for wrist, hand, feet, and rings. However, now that I am level 20 on those characters I get a "Trial accounts cannot perform this action" when trying to use, for example, a scroll of earthern vitality on my boots on my 20 priest.

My plan will be to do some random dungeons with full bags so that I receive satchels in the mail, then open a GM ticket and see if he will give me some game time to apply the scrolls.

even those without level requirements? if thats the case then thats a completely new discovery. means you have to enchant them while your subscription is active and cant save them to be used later

Correct. The enchanting scrolls have no level requirement, but it would not allow me to apply them.

Oh boy, i have 2 lvl ones with maximum bags and so frikkin many scrolls on my vet acc damn, thanks for letting us know.

Very disappointing. I filled my bags and then did some randoms so that my instance baggy would end up in the mail where I couldn't get it. I just put a ticket in last night. Hoping he gives me a few days of paid time to access them and then I'll do the chants then.

In short: you pay for insta 50% more skill and the ability to suddenly understand the p2ps you hated for years.

Not still entirely sure about this "Veteran" stuff...

If people are calling them selves vets by doing some P2P stuff, surely they are the opposite?

well you pay for the game, do all the stuff p2ps do and then let the subscription run out and stay where u were with f2p restrictions (gold, mail, etc) but you have some benefits as well. Most important are heirlooms and enchants. While looms are fun and help to gear toons easily, enchants still break the game. And since every p2p "needs" them to show his/her dominance many f2p jump on the train cause thats how u eliminate the problem once and for all........../Irony off

I have a 'vet' priest question if awesome can explain. Is dreadmist mantle still better than sunderseer if you are doing haste build? Someone earlier said crit is rubbish for priests, so wouldn't it make more sense to take that which has all haste secondary over dreadmist which has all crit? I am probably missing something dumb so just thought i'd ask for clarification :)

All depends on your spec, your other enchants and your playstyle. There is no "go to" BiS set. I carry several pieces. Heirloom and mantle each with different enchants. Depending on the scope of my team and the opposition.
