EU+US Vet twinking will be dead after 27 august ?

I hope so.

I hope all twinks switch to Classic and take twinking back to its glory days where every point of XP gained meant less time to grind for BiS items, where you had to meticulously plan every journey and every quest. I look forward to ghost runs in Stranglethorn Vale and Dungeon boosts in Scarlet Monastery. I want the grind, it was the grind that got me hooked, this easy show me where everything is and practically do it for me version of WoW is childsplay compared to the old beauty. Maybe its nostalgia, maybe I am getting too old for this game, but just once more I would love to play a WsG without a time limit and be able to go into a dungeon with a warlock or hunter pet as tank. If Classic can replicate all that I will never play BFA again.

I'ma make a vet rogue, im working on it now. but come classic I'll for sure be switching over. But for a little while twinking will be dead while everyone grinds to 60 and saves up gold and stuff. I look forward to the debates on whether or not wingblade is a better offhand weapon than theifs blade/shadowfang. It's gonna also be pretty fun switching out a dagger mainheand with weapon damage enchant for those insane ambush crits. And we'll finally have a lot more diversity enchant wise for 19 rogues as well. We'll see some sader mainhand and agility offhanders, and people will debate duel fiery verses duel lifestealing.
 
uh twinking is almost dead now in comparison to what it has been and the options are limited, like only elemental force is really viable for most classes. If you had ever been around during burning crusade-cata, you'd be looking forward to twinking in classic like it's an early christmas.
 
Who please plays twink in classic if you are constantly oom all the time?! Not even mana regenerating gear helps.

But mostly you didn't live long enough to worry about oom. As I recall it wasn't till BC or WotLK (I forget which) that Blizz decided to make mana mgmt so extremely challenging that my 19 priest used to even sometimes deliberately get killed just to get a fresh blue bar
 
The real fun is getting full of the falcon gear on a hunter and taking the talent that adds AP off of intellect. Talk about a glass cannon.

Yeah I started in BC. I'm sure classic still has some cool options though but I think burning crusade and wotlk was where the game truly shined.

I don't know where you got that timetable, BGs are being added in Phase 3. Realistically I doubt more than 1 phase will be dropped per 2 months, they want to give people time to actually work through the content. So the earliest I expect to see BGs is 4 months after launch. Which will give you a month or two to enjoy leveling to 60, and another 2-3 months to gear out your twink and get ready : )

I pulled it deep from my "this is really unimportant info to me but I kinda half-assed retained it for some reason" memory. Thank you for getting real exact about what I meant by "or so".
 
I just didn't want people to have false expectations. It means current twinks can look forward to months of still having queues and people super hyped for classic won't be disappointed by having to wait an extra 3 months : )

I suspect that many people are sitting at the edge of their seats waiting to unleash their inner twinks on unsuspecting servers! (Meant as slightly tongue and cheek, but mostly valid just the same.)
 
I think retail is going to take a huge hit in general, not just twinking. But we'll see.
