PTR Useless starter zone DH god in SL and PTR

I was playing on the ptr trying out a new DH. I noticed a 39 at spawn so I asked him whats up with his level.

he simply said make a toon on live and copy it over.

This means you can start a new DH in SL at 39 instead of level 8 if you make the toon now and don't touch it after you log in once. I would log in just to make sure its level is officially locked in at 98. No clue if it really matter to log in but better safe than sorry.

Anywho that is how you get a useless GOD DH.

the only mob that scales is one of the giant infernal leets in a fel fire pit. It can be hard to kill the higher you go in levels due to secondary stats giving less. ilvl 44 at 39.

Tanking it is somewhat easy though.

at 39 you can use the agility flask treasure nearby.

... so this is incorrect then? or does it have level limitations to it? or will be the same scenario as the dk?

this'll probably be a live issue once SL comes out then.

level 98 on live turns to level 39 in SL.
so if the toon already existed before SL a "new" DH is level 39

so if you want to skip 31 levels on a new DH in SL just make it now.

ya see the thing is that we (or some of us) have DK already linked to our accounts when the DK glitch was a thing. I have a locked 55 dk on my account, though i'd can't use him I managed to get him from quest one to the final quest without leveling him.

him on live on my main vet account.

him on the ptr

and him where i last left him.

it'll probably be the same case with DHs with regular DKs to those of us that had unlocked them a long time ago.

I would log into it just in case that affects the system somehow locking in your level at 98 on live. Come SL it will be 39 and ready to do the DH starter zone like a god. Don't forget to pick up the flask treasure before you leave the zone (requires level 35 to use)
