9k is not outrageous imo. You're right, it is still BiS and within the next month or three the demand will go up (unless they change the dr in 4.0.3). It wasn't that long ago really that they were selling for over 10k so 9k isn't bad for the BiS weapon in a high demand market.

According to WoW Head, it appears SFK will not be removed after all - Shadowfang Keep - Zone - World of Warcraft required levels are now going to be 10 - 16 with Heroic mode available (85). 8-11k is the norm for Shadowfang and anyone to laugh at wanting 9k for it has no concept of BiS pricing as a twink and more then likely if a twink at all.. a walfare twink with a few quest blues from westfall and deadmines =) I know of a twink recently on my realm, that traded a mechano-hog for a Shadowfang and feet of the lynx. So yes, it is still in great value.
