US WTS Scarab Lord 70 hunter

Since everyone has different opinions, here are the facts:

-Once the AQ gates are open, you have less than a day to bang the gong, then you would obtain the mount and title.

This being said, 50000000000 could have the title, if they all finished the quest; which, as you know, requires looting specific mobs that only drop (1) of the item.

There will never be any new "Scarab Lords". Ever. Blizz noticed that when new Wotlk realms hit live, people transfered to get their titles. They changed this so the event where the gates open will never occur again.

How much it is worth is how much someone is willing to pay, being the RAREST title in the game, also that it isnt obtainable anymore means a lot. Also this toon still being level 70 adds worth to people that would only use it as a 70 twink. If there are very few scarab lords, then there are even less level 70 scarab lords.

The above is very true, it all comes down to rarity. Level 70`s with this title will be very rare. But overall, according to the site I linked, there are as few GM/HWL and old school rank 13`s as there are Scarab Lords.

Alright, I'll bite. The troll (mrdoobry) needs to be fed again:

GM/HWL can not even compare with Scarab Lord. The SL questline/title/mount/etc was all on a very finite time table. Once the first person turned in the quest, the rest of the server had TEN HOURS to turn it in. After that, it was all moot. Yes, you could transfer to a bugged realm and get it for a while, but that still carried the 10 hour time limit.

It was an EVENT. It was not "just some title you could grind out".

GM/HWL was still hard then, yes. It required tons of hours, but often times people would set up teams to do the grind together, get the title, then rotate the next person in. It was not uncommon at all for a server to have 15-20 or even more HWL/GMs titles running around. People would also often log on to each other's accounts in order to keep the scores up so that they could get higher rank.

That being said, did you see more than a few people running around a server with SL? Very damned unlikely. There is the SS out there of the slew of people who all xferred to get to do the SL turn-in, but that was on some EU realm.

Whatever site you decide to link/use/abuse/whatever, there are plenty more HWL/GMs than there are Scarab Lords, ESPECIALLY now that Blizz fucked up badly and brought the PvP titles back. The one in this thread happens to be very real, judging by the PvP title as well as Old School Ride. Additionally, you would do well not to make yourself look foolish or try to sound smart without considering all of the facts.

I`m not gonna bite with anything. I have trolled with nothing here but asked a genuine question and questioned some replies I didn`t fully agree on. Mainly in an effort to ascertain certain information (thanks Sanitarium for messaging me and answering my original questions). I have agreed it is rare and corrected someone who abused me.

I have not abused or been disrespectful to anyone. I don`t troll forums, but instead try to be constructive (hell check all my other posts if you wish). People were saying it is uber rare, I provided some (albeit not perfect) source and even agreed with a lot of other peoples opinions. Statistically the site would be pretty correct. It`s a rare title for the level, I personally wouldn`t pay a $1000 levy for some vanity, but some will, so fairplay.

That is all that was originally pointed out. But, no, people have to come in and be abusive and then be corrected with FACTS and provide no evidence to back up their name-calling (even when they are wrong).

My apologies to Daman for hijacking his thread, I was merely trying to find out so I could consider maybe selling my old vanity chars if they fetch good money.

If i have made myself look foolish for seeking information and correcting abusive trolls, and asking questions, then I have no problem with that.

Points been made, I shall reply in this thread no more, lest I be abused/trolled more :p

Regards.

wasnt it first two players for each realm? so the number is like 200x2=400 players ( i know there are 241 realms but the newest realms come with opened gates)

Whatever, there's less then 1 thousand players with that for sure and like tonkks said, it's one of the rarest title, this surely worth more then an average level 70.

Anyone within the first 10 hours after the gates were opened who had the mallet could get the title/mount.
