Decided to have a little fun with simcraft (I'm a nerd, I know). Simmed a 30 second fight to test burst dps, including everyone in the armory thread who was logged out as a DPS spec. Unfortunately it failed to import Wowsuchrogue properly and I had to remove Tirtmodes/Vladekk as the legendary trinket was causing simcraft to crash.
I'm surprised at how many high ilvl dps are so low on the results. Burst can be night/day different from sustained dps but still...
I'll run my own tests after I finish enchants and sockets, and I'll switch into DPS gear and out of my leech set.

Bear in mind that there is a very wide range in artifact traits by people on the list.

Also remember that alot of people are just noobs who have no idea what their doing. People who use wrong set of talents, wrong rotations, etc etc. Doing DPS is not just gear based, but also skill based, talent based, trait based. Alot things to keep in mind on this.

oh man 7 more traits till my 3rd golden trait. I'm at 18 traits now and the grind is so real. I dont know how some people hit 22 traits... holy be jesus.... still kudos on them though. I checked the calculator and I need 464,050 AP spent to make a bee line to each dragon trait. currently at 66,470 ap spent, so I need 397,580 ap. ughh..... such a long road.

Nice, keep it up. Shouldn't take too long I guess, deepends on how much you play. ^.^ I need 600k AP on my DH for my 3rd golden (26 traits). If i'd farm 2k/day it's going to take me 300 days to obtain, lol. Guess i'll have to put somewhat more effort in it.
Edit; It's possible to farm around 10k a day if you have enough time for it, which means 600k = 60 days.

That seems to be one useless setup. You're speccing for fragements when using stuns, no idea why.. 30% movement speed when using blur, and a 1min cd reducement.. that's the only 'decent' one, rest is trash. Instead of those you should've went for Critical Chaos (18% more dmg when critting) Demon Rage (18% more dmg on demon blades), and Contained Fury, 30 more fury..

@Changzu.. I did it to reduce cool down on Eye beam and chaos nova. As well as more self heals and making a beeline to the golden traits... I thought about what you suggested prior to riding this train. It was a tough choice tbh. 25 traits won over 26 traits.. thats alot of ap to farm lol

You went for: 3x Overwhelming Power, when Chaos Nova stuns a target it has a 30% chance to generate a lesser soul fragment, if you pull big groups of 10 mobs you won't even be needing this, and that's with 0% leech. If you'd stack 10-15% leech you wouldn't even need any fragements at all. Therefore, in my opinion this is useless and should've been replaced with Critical Chaos (18% more dmg on crits). If you blur/rush you'll have eye beam on a 0s CD anyway. Offcourse it's your own decission on what path to choose. I'm just sharing my opinion on this. However if I look at a "overview" of what you're going for it looks like:
You -
- Slightly more heals
- Faster CD on Metamorph
- More runspeed
Me -
- More dps
- More dps
- More fury, so more dps.
It deepends on what path you want to go, for defensive stuff i guess your good to go, for dps it's the wrong path. Since I am planning on going for a setup with 15% leech (eventually) I decided to go full dps mode since I won't be needing any extra fragments.

@Changzu nice to have some perspective on other havoc demon hunters. I whole heartingly agree with what you said on regards to dps. Overwhelming Power works with feast of souls. :-D Still your DH would wipe the floor with mine. Thanks for the input and discussion. I'll defiantly consider it with my alliance version.
