Unbinding a Shadowfang...

I'm tossing a new question out there:



Does this logic of soul bound, with out equipping, break the item, and then mail it to your twink work for quest rewards? IE. Could you do get THIS onto your twink by obtaining it from the quest, dying a lot to break it, and then mailing it?

Step 5 : Mail Item

Step 6 : Profit (you lose enchant upon receiving item, even if you do relog after)

Edit: After talking a friend through this process it seems that it only works on some items. It seems there are some unforseen variables that determine wether or not you're able to unbind items. For example this didn't work on my Twisted Chanters Staff, but it did on my SotBS (which I will not test again because I don't want to pay for another +30 SP enchant)

+ u could of just had 2 seers gloves, 1 equipped and 1 in bags just to try to prove me "wrong" lololol
 
Hmm

Doesn't seem to be working for my Shadowfang, Got it to 0/75 deleted it and got a Gm to resend me it back and it was Boe in the mail but once I took it from mail went straight to being soulbounded. Hmm as you said it works and doesn't work on different items. Let me know if you find a way / I did something wrong in the process to doing so.

they fixed that gm exploit long time ago



because people would unbind items like that awhile back but now they go soulbound to you when you take them out of the mailbox

My TipTac addon shows "Bags:x" where x is the number of duplicate items in my bag. Which is a default and built in function which is not configurable iirc.

and iv contributed a lot acutally, you wouldnt even know how to do exploits if i didnt tell anyone on rampage/cyclone, i was like the only person that knew and told a few people on cyclone/rampage and it snowballed from there



i could of kept this all to my self and never told anyone, no one would of known. i could be selling exploits to people for massive gold. but i dont care about this game anymore and im a nice guy :3

You're right. We all thank you for being the self proclaimed exploit pro who discovered and then told the whole twinking community about them. There's no possible way anyone like me stumbled upon the bug accidently.

I knew about the "item resetting" bug since 3.0.8 from leaving items broken and then logging out after being unable to repair all my gear from a bad 3D Sarth raid

It will show "Bag:x" if I have any duplicate items, wether the duplicate item is equiped, in bag, in bank etc...
 
Sorry for getting derailed. But it seems that Shadowfang has one of those unknown variables that won't let it be unbound. Right now I'm trying to think of what is different that allows it to work for BoE gloves but not for a Shadowfang.
 
nah they wouldnt because its random as hell and twinks hardly ever break gear and most people dont even have 80s or even think about random shit like this.



i could release stuff that would actually hurt the 19 bracket
