Twinking as we know it

Twinks have come a long way, many of us still play WoW today because we learned the fun and exhilaration of twinking. I myself started twinking when my main was level 30. I had seen a video of a gnome rogue named Fony, which brought me into twinking. Rogues have always been my passion, and it seems that every expansion nerfs us a little more, but we mold and perservere though the challenges. This is what we need to do: embrace twinking because it is re back to vanilla wow. We can quit, but the people that solely rely on gear will quit because balance has been introduced.



All I can say is life goes on, and nothing goes as planned. So my solution is to keep playing the game as you played yesterday because we cannot change the decisions of the game producers. There are challenges brought every patch, there have been the people who embraced it, and there were the people who cried and said it was unfair.



So is it fair for the game producers to change their game to their liking? They have every right, and we pay 15$ to play what they make. We have no rights in this fantasy world, so the one thing I can advise,



Play stronger, play better, and play smarter, because the game is getting harder.

Everything changes and evolves; 3.1 will be no different. I’m sure we’ll have some attrition from 3.1, and our numbers will thin out, but twinking will remain, that is until they force XP on us via the battlegrounds.



Most of our comments, questions, debates and QQ is because we all have a sense of ownership and pride around our little pet-projects. In many ways, they’ve become more ingrained with us than our “mains.” I know that, when I was hacked last year (long story) The only things I REALLY wanted restored where my two main raiding toons (Warrior and Druid- t5 geared) and my 19 twink, Rayekk. Everything else was gravy to me (and keep in-mind that, at the time, I had 6 level 70’s T5 or better geared, my twink and two mid-60’s clothies, about 20K in cash and another 100k in mats).



Truth is, we are proud and do love our little characters of mass destruction (CoMD) and we don’t want to see them grow up, just like any parent. I know that my 19 will never see 20- even if I stop twinking. Being an over-geared 19 is who he is, and I’ll never take that away from him.

Why don't they just make something equivalent to a Deadly set scaled down for each bracket? 10-15K honor per piece at level 19. Of course then you run into the problem of honor farming, as if it isn't already a problem.

well, they kinda shot themselves in the foot with the BoA Honor tokens available in WG- I love the idea of a full set; but since it would cater to the low levels, and not the favored end-game content, I'd not hold my breath. After all, Blizzard wants you to go buy the next expansion pack, not "just" stay at 19, 29, 39, 49 etc.

kind of, I was just giving feedback to what the previous poster was saying.

but as I've said a bit, everyone having the same stuff ruins twinks altogether, its going to be bracket camping now rather than twinking.

how would everyone having the same stuff ruin twinking? everyone has ALWAYS had the same stuff, same spec, same everything. only recently have people been getting grandfathered shit and that is what is being removed. along with some other changes that make casuals have more of an impact in battlegrounds

Every twink plays a twink to "pwnz de n00bz" that's why we go to the trouble to farm STV every week, farm gold to buy enchant mats, and farm badges for BoA gear. people play twinks to be better than everyone else, and anyone who says anything else is just kidding themselves.

1) i don't want to level up. leveling is boring.

2) i can be on even footing with other twinks. those twinks that try to "pwnz de n00bz" are usually bad. how can you be 'better than everyone else' if you're playing against other twinks?

3) i like diversity. i have over 10 twinks.

4) i don't want to constantly update my gear. i can have 10 twinks AND i don't have to update their gear. this means i can play whenever i want, not be in an endless grind that leads me to play one character for hours a day.

5) the community is great. i can play against the same players and talk over games with them. easier chance of actually making rivalries or friends in twink PVP.

im pretty much on the exact same lvl. the only thing im really mad about is librams. they even had those in vanilla, theyre kicking mother nature in the balls.

I think the fishing boots are a bit much to be taking away, theres no point to putting a requirement on them they should have just offered a couple more alt's for that slot though other means, BoA, craft, ect.



As for librams I have no clue why these have a limit on them, they are of no use to anyone out side the twink community.
