I also find it rather ridiculous that I enter this thread to see two members gang up on one person, calling them retarded in several back to back posts, just to realize that the person being insulted is banned while the two "bullies" are allowed to continue happily.
I have never had anything against Ridwane, and have never trashtalked him, until he started griefing, talking shit about me and calling me bad, with no reason at all. I tried to reason with him, ask why he is doing this, etc. He kept on flaming/trashtalking/griefing/shitstorming on the boards, and I admit at that point I got provocated by him.
It's never justified to insult another person, but when I get griefed and flamed day after day for no apparent reason by a guy that has absolutely no reason to hate me, I'm not going to be able to ignore it forever.
If you can't see the fact that Ridwane has been doing nothing but flooding these forums with shit for on a daily basis for weeks now, you're either blind or biased. The ban he received was 100% justified in my opinion, and I'm sure a lot of people agree with me on this.
PS. I got my punishment for insulting Ridwane aswell, does this satisfy you?
Arkant's obsession with me is beyond human logic. That guy wrote a book about me on this thread. And believe me, I don't mind reading long posts, but that was a book sized post. He's like those sensationalistic newspapers who never, ever gets any useful information, just uninteresting manipulated junk for the masses. But for those of you that want or are interested, this is the summary:
- My first login on my Twink was on 04/09/2013. Last time I logged him was 13/06/2010;
- I still don't know all the mechanisms from all classes;
- I thought that Thunderstorm, if resisted, wouldn't give any mana;
- I thought that Shadowmeld was only used for cast prevention AKA diselection (as in 3.3.5);
- I actually thought that you could still draw an arena;
And some more, and probably some more that will happen in the future. I will not read 2 expansions worth of patch notes. What I can try is commit mistakes and learn with them, because I still play the way I was used to play: in 3.3.5. I'll learn with my mistakes, and I have to commit them to actually learn (I can alternatively read some guides and whatnot, but that's also limited).
The reason why I mastered my druid in 3.3.5 was simply because I didn't make any breaks from Vanilla to late WoTLK. But this time it's different, I have a 3 years gap on me. So give it some time. I could point out the mistakes that you (Arkant) made back in 3.3.5, when I played your druid like 10 times in the arenas. And I doubt you had a 3 years gap on you.
Vianco is another sensionalistic jornal. He asked me to explain him how did they got double the kills with 1 less dpser. And I told him that even if they had 1 less dpser, they actually did more than 50% damage of the entire premades. Which then I told him that in my opinion, a dpser and a healer should perform with over 10%, but to take it lightly due to circunstances (like a rdruid who had to FC, a hpala who gets the monk speed to HoJ, or a priest o gets the monk speed to fear). He obviously amplified it with sensionalistic crap and word manipulation. He even compared himself with Mesikämmens performance, statistically speaking.
Also, there was never a Word document or any kind of file.
I understand your reasoning and I'm also glad that you know that answering insults with insults isn't exactly helpful
I'm not sure if you know it since it there is no actual button for it but there is an ignore function on vbulletin forums to hide posts of certain users you don't like, you should use if Ridwane's posts annoy/bother you and he keeps going for you.
I don't question if his ban was justified or not, I leave that to the mods. I just found it weird that he got banned while certain people who insult him on a daily basis don't seem to receive any kind of punishment (and I do not primarily mean you with that).
It restores some of my faith into the TI staff but does it satisfy me? No, since I don't hold a personal grudge against you.
