Twink Rogue: talents, Spec, Race and Gear.

I did some math a while back when I was wondering what weapon was best in offhand. The result was SF wins easily, after that it's Battleworn Thrash Blade. I'm not 100% sure on this but the math I did pointed this out. I can quote it if you want.

Please could you post it here/send me the calculations? Very interested, thanks.

I've corrected in red, hope it helps;

This is what im going for now:

GEAR.

Head - Lucky Fishing Hat (No Librmas beacuse this is after patch 3.1.1 and dont know if 8 Agi still works. They don't work anymore

Neck - Sentinel's Medallion.

Shoulder - Serpent Shoulders. Stained Shadowcraft Paulders are way better

Back - Sentry Cloak - 5 to all Resistance. I prefer Spidersilk Drape to get my hit rating capped, put 3 agility on it not 5 resistance

Chest - Tunic of Westfall - 3 to all stats. Would make that Blackened Defias Armor with +4 stats, I think the extra stamina is of greater value as the greater dodge/crit don't add much anymore at higher percentages

Bracers - Forest Leather Bracer - 9 Sta. Wranglers Wristbands of the Monkey 3/3 would be even better

Hands - Gloves of the Fang - 15 Agi.

Belt - Deviat Scale Belt.

Pants - Leggings of the Fang - 16 Armor :p

Shoes - Feet of the Lynx - 7 Agi. Foodpads of the Fang have better stats and on top of that give 4 expertise rating, which translates to 1,75% reduced chance to be dodged or parried (7 expertise), also; get the minor speed it'll add more

Trinket - Insignia of the Allience. Get an inherated (heirloom) version of this for an extra 6 resilience and swap it with an AGM when it's on CD

Trinket - (Not decided yet) Would definetely make this an AGM

Finger - Seal of Wrynn.

Finger - Prospectors Band.

Weapon:

Cruel Barb - 15 Agi. Get Shadowfang if you really want to get the max out of your rogue, and get a fiery enchant on it (thank Doffe for this tip), PPM is so high it adds more DPS to any class than 15 agility

Thief's Blade - 15 Agi. Depending on how you play I would make this a Cruel Barb but I just like the weapon speeds of my MH and OH to be close to eachother to take the max out of every burst and to stay out of melee range while my white hits cool down, again; fiery enchant

Sentinel's Blade - 15 Agi. (But untill i have enough marks; Skeletal Club - Crusader). I say Assassin's Blade or no dagger at all; garotte is better in almost every occassion (and please get 5 weapon damage not 15 agility)

PLEASE say your opinoins, and i would also like to hear if 8+ Agi libram still works :p

I need just a Shadowfang and an AGM to have all the gear I've listed above, I can asure you it's (one of) the best gearset(s) for a 19 rogue.

PS thrown weapon should be Throat Piercers for the 2 agility... PLEASE don't get the +2 strength throws. =P

The Offhand choice. For the [ITEM]Battleworn Thrash Blade[/ITEM], the proc rate is unknown, I searched everywhere and couldn't find anything except that it probably has a procrate between 3% and 7% without an internal cooldown.

Let's say you use Shadowfang in your mainhand. Due to the dual wield penalty you will miss 24% of the attacks. So the proc rate is between 2.3% and 5.3%. That's 0.57 to 1.33 PPM. This extra attack thus comes down to 2.565% to 5.985% extra white damage from your Shadowfang. (there's some serious math behind this statement) Then, your AP comes into play. These days a good rogue will probably have 210 AP or something. This brings SF up to 32.8 DPS- thus the proc itself adds about 0.84132 to 1.963 DPS, which can probably (not sure though) still miss, in which case it is reduced to 0.6394-1.492 DPS.

Due to this math and the fact that rogue AP dropped a lot since 3.10 I'm just gonna say forget about the Thrash Blade  just get a Cruel Barb until SF.

Get 4 stats to your chest.

Lifestealing is 8.1 ppm just from white attacks. That's 480 health swing from target to wielder. Granted, fiery can critical for 60 dmg.

and i would also like to hear if 8+ Agi libram still works

LIBRAMS DO NOT WORK

How many times do people have to say this.

also: To the person saying he can't find someone with 3 agil to cloak. You just admitted you are not even trying to look for anything we are suggesting. If you can not take our advice you should seriously stop trolling for it.

Thanks a lot mate, will be hard enough as it is to get even 1 SF for now. =P

Ok thank you for all of your coments. I have understood, that my choise of weapon and weapon enchant was bad, but please here my new one.

Cruel Barb - Fiery.

Thief's Blade - Agi. (For Duel)

Skeletal Club - Feiry.

(There is a guy grinding Shadowfang and Assasin's Blade for me, and if he gets them, i will like to hear your opinions for enchants thanks)

For a rogue, you spec 8/0/2. Malice, Puncturing Wounds, and Opportunity.

Then you get a Assassin's Blade and put +5 Weapon Damage on it. Thief's Blade with +15 Agi in your offhand for crit and AP. All of your gear should focus on Agi or AP after your hit cap is reached.

Then you sneak up on your opponent and 2-shot them with a Ambush-to-Backstab combo. Works great on debuffed FCs.

That is a rogue's role. Maximum burst to take out a turtling FC. If you want to worry about your sustained DPS, roll hunter.

Won't top the damage meters with this build, but it is fun as hell. Just don't attack anyone under level 18. The lowbies literally will get one-shot, but then you will have exposed your position in order to take out a toon that wasn't going to be a factor anyway. This build is ALL about the opener. Don't give it up just for a fleeting epeen stroke.

I don't think that more people rolling hunters would be fun....that's what the twink community is trying to get rid of lol...

Talents

Actualy, i was going to some other talents atm.

5/5/0

Malice 3/5, Improved Eviscerate 2/3.

Improved Sinister Strike 2/2, Duel Wield Specialization 3/5.

This is most for a long combat, without to many stealths, but what do you think about them?

And i got another question.

When is a rogue hit capped?

11 hit rating AKA [ITEM]Stained Shadowcraft Spaulders[/ITEM] + [ITEM]Spidersilk Drape[/ITEM] + [ITEM]Deviate Scale Belt[/ITEM] ([ITEM]Simple Pearl Ring[/ITEM] if you don't have a main)

Does i need to get hit capped?

And how much Hit does Stained Shadowcraft Spaulders give at lvl 19?
