Twink Project 2 - bribe a GM!

A lot of people are calculating the drop rate of PoD or Shadowfang and reach the conclusion that this really sucks...

So I was wondering... what if we get some help from a real Game Master?

I mean they are peoples... they can be turn to the Twink Force and join us - Wuahaha!

The first ideea was to bribe one... of course, we know they have huge pay check... but still, that's an ideea.

The second was to become a GM... i mean, some of us can try to get hired by the Blizz, penetrate the system, and work from the inside!

Another ideea is to open ticket to a GM - from a new account ... and start talking to him... make him our friend.



This is kinda hard... but a twinks life is never easy. :D
 
Set sail for fail. What would you bribe him with? and i bet he get loads of "kan i haz epix" tickets anyway. I dont know what the ToU says about this but i dont see this happening:(
 
GMs have two accounts, their regular account and there GM account, they arn't allowed to do any thing special to there regular accounts. If they get caught you get fired and you lose the real life cash, which im sure none of them want to risk.
 
Why would you assume they get paid well...



I'd be surprised if they make $60k a year. $40-50k is more likely. Neither is a huge paycheck.



Here's the thing: most of us try to out-earn our stupidity. That means that we assume that if we make enough money, we'll earn more than we're stupid enough to waste. As anyone who's climbed up the economic ladder can tell you, that never happens. There are always more expensive aspirations. Today you may think that if you spend $3000 on a super bad-ass computer, you'll be set. But there's always something more luxurious that's more expensive. Today you think it rediculous to spend umpteen-million on hooking your computer up to a private theater room with a remote-controlled refrigerator on roboticized wheels. But if you reach the step right before, you'll consider it a possibility.



Basically what I'm trying to say is that everyone wants more money because there's always something better and more expensive that what you've currently got. So ask the GM for his paypal and lowball your offer and see where he takes it. Happy bribing.
 
blizzard has 2700 employees in case you wonder how many GM are ...

anyway, the ideea is that if we really want to i think we can do it. of course, we must gather as much info and resources in order to succed. Informations like : is there anyone who knows a GM IRL, or chit-chat a little more with one of them and found out something about them

and resources : well... money, i don't think they want Gold or something.

I personally don't need anything from a Game Master... but i know that a lot of people want some items. If we can have a GM for like 5 minutes he can give us 10 PoD, 10 Shadowfangs... 10...10...x anything and 241.000 golds.

So if we invest in this project we can win back the money with a profit . 10 PoD are like 100.000 golds...

if i think a little i do want something from a GM - level me down to 28... so i can get some stupid Quest items ... and some gold to enchant them :)... and the BOA items... and Tabard of Frost...
 
This is the wrong kind of wet dreams, dream bout anything else than wow.



Just a big phat no, this wont happen no matter how much your mate told you he knew a GM who gave him goldz.
 
HAHA blizzard would probably take back all the items and gold, and then maybe ban your account... I am sure they keep tabs on their GM's
 
This feels like a very cheap way to get around doing the work yourself... This is not a flame by any means.



Part of the joy for me is working towards a perfect twink. If a GM just does the job for me then what's the point?



Honestly this is just an exploit which breaks the system for your own needs. Definitely a bannable offense from blizzard and a risk for the GM on the other side. Would you seriously risk somebody's job and livelihood just for some in-game items? And your own account's security?



Oh and if you want to become a GM, I believe you have to move to one of blizzard's customer support centers where you work on upwards to 12 hours a day.
 
Even if I thought this would work, I would not take apart of this. As much as I am for having the ability to turn XP gain On and Off, it is not Blizzs goal for WoW. Your suppose to move forward, not stay behind. Plus, taking advantage of someone who would be at risk of not only losing their rank of Game Master but their real life job. No thanks.

its pretty much impossible because as someone above said, GM's wont risk their jobs (and the rl money) to help out some ppl who wana paypal them 50 bucks



that being said...if u could find a GM dumb enough to do it, it would probably work



you would just open a ticket saying that ur (insert family/friend) is an idiot and deleted your 250,000 gold, 20 shadowfangs, 10 PoDs and 25 unbound naxx enchants so he could get you more bag space



they dont need to look into any "hacking" if u say it was done by someone at ur home...so they would just use ur item restore to give u those items, i highly doubt that blizzard has hired someone to check over the GM's work



its not like every time a GM restores an item, someone else checks to see if that character actually had that item



basically i think its pretty much impossible to do, since you would have to find a GM irl and then bribe them to help you with this scheme...and on top of it, there is always a chance that GM's do get their work checked over
 
Has there ever been a success story of someone farming a PoD and actually getting it to drop? Just out of curiosity.
 
just so you, BRIBRING a GM is against the policy and will get your account banned or suspended. its written in their policy ! not exactly in those words but it means exactly that ! so if i were you i wouldn'T even consider trying !



rule number one of the GMs, never give the players anything they ask just because they asked. there must be a reason for em to have that item back and at that, it really depends on the item. REALLY GMs aren't the ones you should be bribbing, they barely do anything in this game. most of their job is dealing with characters deletion and even there its very very very limited ! their other jobs considers bug, but most of the case its the same sentence over and over, DISABLE YOUR ADDONS AND LOG BACK IN. 99% of the times things gets better.



if you want to make friends out of a GM, talk to him about anyhting else then the usual i've lost this or that item or the classic my character was deleted by accident. talk to them about game mechanics. now you're gonna get their attentions and might even get answers they usually never gives out about how the game works. i did that once when i noticed my 19 hunter had 29% crit chances while my 70 hunter with 4times the agility only had 10% you should see the answer i got the GM was happy to finally have a true question about something worth mentionning ! i almost got the formula for agility right there, he didn't cause he couldn't but damn the answer i received was so much worth the wait to ask about.



conclusion : best way to have true answers is to ask true questions and not bother them with petty item loss. that's what i figured out during the last year.
 
i have talked to gm about game mechanics but ussually it s other gm. i never talked to the same gm twice

Anyway, one of the GM "Call Centers" is in Dallas, maybe you guys should ask around there.

I used to see her at Chinese restaurant quite often (She worked there)

But now she's gone :(
