Hi there,
I’ve been playing WoW for several years and only recently have I been introduced to the whole Twink concept. I actually like it a lot! Most of my time on WoW has been raiding but a buddy and I have been working on a couple twinks for a couple weeks until we realized that the battlegroup Nightfall is NightFAIL for 19 twink brackets.
My friend and I have several accounts and last Saturday we put a toon in the no XP BG Q and we actually never got a one single game. I bet it was logged in for 8-9 hours total. That’s when we started researching what has been going on and quickly realized that the 19s are all on Ruin and here on Nightfall it’s all about the 39s so here is where the questions and advice come in.
We have been playing our now; almost 20 twinks in the normal bgs and having a blast. We decided last night that we were gonna keep them at 19 just in case for some reason Bizz changes it or we decided to transfer them. The problem I have transferring them is that a twink is not capable of providing the resources necessary without one of my 80s and I just don’t want to transfer off for that reason alone to fund my side project.
If others have transferred did you just transfer them with 1000g and call it good? Maybe play the auction house to make money? Not like grinding is a viable way lol.
Our 39 mission: We also decided that if we were gonna do this, that we do it right and the fastest most efficient way possible. We actually purchased 2 WoW vanilla accounts and linked them each to one of our already existing accounts and we are 5 boxing 4 new 39 twinks. We started leveling them on Sunday night by questing until we reached 10. Once all for have reached level 10 we went into Deadmines and ran that 4 times until they were all 15-16. We then moved to Stockades and have been running that faster than we are allowed per hour. Our toons are currently 26 with a goal of being 39 for the weekend. We are averaging a level for every 9 minutes. We plan to move to SM soon for some gear as well during the leveling.
How do we do it? I actually have all Mac computers at my house and on the 24” I have 3 WoW accounts running and my MacBook Pro has 2 accounts running. Basically all we are doing is logging on and we have all the lower level toons following one twink leader and my 70 druid on my third account is actually running everything for us. It’s not nearly as nice as my 80 pally can run but it’s actually still very quick and seems to be working awesome for this. Since we are in the same room together we actually take turns running the instance with the druid until we reach the max per hour. It seems like its Prolly a lot of work but honestly it’s so fast, easy and hardly no travel for anything as we are summoning our toons to the instances with our mains.
The big question is what to play??? I have passion for the 19 rogue that I am currently playing. I am really thinking either a hunter/rogue and or maybe a priest for some healing. I raid with my pally several times a week so im not looking to play that is my twink main. I have a 73 rogue that im lazy with but I do have all the boa gear for him so it’s easy to level another rogue to 39 and start out with that until I get geared up with my other toons.
Is there a general need for priest heals or does most everyone focus on damage? Sorry for the long post. I look forward to meeting you ‘all when we hit the 39 brackets!
