Twink Info -- Cost Analysis

I have had a lot of questions come across my path asking what the donations go towards and why there are Google ads on this site.

I will be 100% honest with you right here and right now, as I feel this community deserves the truth.

Here is the breakdown of my costs:

$6,000 -- Initial investment to purchase Twink Info
$1,000-1500 -- Billable hours/investment in the skin design and coding.
$150 per month -- Web Server (Media Temple Dedicated Virtual Server (dv) 2GB -- VPS Hosting Pricing | (dv) Dedicated Virtual Pricing, Business Hosting)
$75-100 per year -- vBulletin Renew

Ad Revenue Per Month:

Feb 2012 -- $202.24
Mar 2012 -- $349.89
Apr 2012 -- $383.66
May 2012 -- $423.02
Jun 2012 -- $249.18 (thus far)

That averages out to $268.54 over the course of the past 5 months.

The donation totals are around $300 right now.

So, thus far, I have back the following:

~$2000 in revenue
MINUS $750 in server costs
EQUALS $1250
AGAINST ~$7000
EQUALS $5750 STILL OUT OF POCKET

I hope that that is clear cut enough for everyone.

Yes, I do run Twink Info as a business, but I also run it as a community. I am not here to lose my ass on it. Simple fact of the matter, Twink Info would have ceased to exist if someone did not buy it from Daman as he no longer wanted to spend the money to continue hosting it or putting the money into developing it further.

Traffic has definitely been holding steady, if not increasing. We average about 6,000 visits a day. I am noticing about 3000-5000 new visits per month (IE people that have never visited before).

These figures seem rather high. Got a friends website checked gamesfreak.net is worth $ 1,871,904 - Worth Of Web and it doesn't seem to be accurate in the least.
