You guys don't understand, if you want a quality bracket, you put a restriction on it and force people to adapt to that restriction, its why rbg teams improve its why twinking will improve while the bracket is only xpoff. Twink cup will not be quality for atleast a year of people playing xpoff games, you will be playing people with fully geared, which means there is no advantage to take, so how do you gain and advantage? becoming better at the game. GL recruiting! 19s have been a lot of fun the past week, the current state of the bracket should be great for teams looking to build competitive rosters.

Having no Twink Cup doesn't magically improve pug quality. Twink Cup on the horizon is the only thing that causes decent wargames to form and helps develop players/teams, regardless of how TC actually turns out. Last years Twink Cup brought two months of constant wargames, team vs team (not full plebmades). RI was usually scrimming 3-4 nights a week, sometimes playing two teams in one night. There's two options: Hype up Twink Cup and get better quality games going in preparation, or declare TC dead and the bracket/wargames dwindle back into dormancy until the next wiff of TC hits noses. Twink Cup is the only tournament of the year and it seems silly to not get people interested and run it. If you skip this year and wait til 2020, pugs will be in the same state and we will want to skip TC again. TC 2020 won't be better from skipping this years TC. In addition, with how Blizz likes to fuck shit up, who knows what the state of Twinking will be a year from now. Run it while we can.

The problem is it's impossible to artificially create hype if there is only one (maybe two) viable winning teams in a tournament.
That would be like Usain Bolt running in the special olympics. It just isn't a competition at that point. If you like laughing at disabled people, I guess you'd enjoy it though. Kind of similar to how the twink cup was last year.
