twin peaks replacing wsg in cata?

this is abit of a long shot but there is evidence to suggest this is happerning.

Lore wise:

The horde has taken over most of ashenvale now, this would render wsg useless as a battleground because rather then it being a conflict over the forest according to lore in cata it will become a 1 sided massacre

Achievement wise:

World of Warcraft Database - Sigrie

if you see here twink peaks gets reputation just like WSG however all the other cata battlegrounds do not have reputation, thus suggesting it is replacing wsg.

Same concept:

capture 3 flags to win 25 minuet timer. Blizzard can not be running out of battleground ideas, it makes no sence for them to make the same bg twice.

Terrain

Wsg is not up to scratch for raited battlegrounds from all the buggy jumps (like horde roof jump which has been half blocked off) to trees not being used for LOS. So much work would have to be done to be able to remodel wsg to be sued in raited bg it would be easier to scrap it.

All these reasons point to wsg being removed and replaced.

thoughts?

No.

What new PvP features can we expect? Will there be new Battlegrounds or a world PvP zone similar to Wintergrasp?

We plan to add new Battlegrounds for players to participate in, including one called Battle for Gilneas City. We will also introduce rated Battlegrounds, which will allow players to prove their skill and earn Arena points through either Battleground or Arena gameplay. The community has been requesting rated Battlegrounds for a while, and we think it would be great to finally see who reigns supreme in Arathi Basin, Warsong Gulch, or one of the new Battlegrounds.

We’re also adding a new Wintergrasp-type zone called Tol Barad Island, which will contain new PvP objectives and combat goals. Tol Barad Island will also double as a daily quest hub, similar to the Isle of Quel’danas, when player-versus-player battles are not taking place.

The above information is outdated.

I'm fine with playing the same battleground for another year.

Just make the stumps LOS'able you lazy bastards.

I agree WSG would be MUCH better with the stumps being LoS.

That information is horrible out dated and has been there since blizzcon e.g

Our plan is to update all of the talent trees, in some cases dramatically, as well as add new talents where appropriate. We don’t plan to make the individual talent trees go deeper than 51 points, because we want to provide players more flexibility to pick up some talents in other trees. Instead, we’re introducing a new form of alternate character progression that we’re calling the path system. The idea is similar to talents, but rather than earning points on a per-level basis, players will earn points to assign by completing quests, defeating certain raid encounters, and completing other objectives in the game. Paths will be shared among multiple classes and themed around the Titans, creators of Azeroth, such as Aman’Thul, Aggramar, or Khaz’goroth (among others).

and we've already seen lots of things being scrapped or revamped again for cata (like changes to talent trees and guild talents being scrapped) also as far as I remember (will find quote later) before they were only planning 2 battlegrounds, we now know there are 3 battlegrounds planned.

Well, it's the only information I found and thought I should post it.

It could just be a placeholder screen.

I hope WSG stays, it has such a charm to it.

Twin Peaks looks pretty fucking big, I really dont look forward to having twice as much midfield for my team to farm. That'll be interesting.

It's be kinda weird playing WSG and have Barrens and Ashenvale (Two of the most altered places) look completely unshaken

Idd, almost whole ashenvale will be horde territory in cata. WSG map schould be redone to horde owning 95% of the map instead of 50-50, if blizz are to continue with the story about the fight for ashenvale.
