Trial of Champion Efficiency

What’s the quickest and most efficient way you guys are farming ToC?

1. 5 29’s Queue or Walk In

2. 5 29’s ALL same Armor Type Queue or Walk In (for trading purposes and forced loot table)

3. 4 29’s with an 50+ for Quick Legacy Runs

I’ve been doing some of 1 but mostly 3 and I feel like 3 has been best but I was really thinking about 2 and how maybe that might be more effective. I don’t have much time left to get it done and I’m really scrambling to get sets for all 7 of my 29’s

Ive done the 4th way so far but only for a couple runs. Need to find someone that can boost me as dungeon finder never pops for ToC.

I’ve been hitting trade chat and offering 25k an hour for runs. You could probably offer 20k an hour and get 3 others to join you and all split it and pay 5k gold per 10 runs. I payed 100k last night for like 5 hours of runs. It’s really hard to find someone to give up hours of time without coughing up some gold. I almost have 4 full sets just missing 1-2 pieces on each class. I have 4 more classes to do still. Maybe 5 if I go crazy.

I saw the post where someone was showing that ToC gear is changing to blue on the beta. There is a strong chance that in the 25th all the purple gear from ToC will be grandfathered. That’s why I’m grinding hard tonight, Sunday and Monday to finish. I hope I can get everything I need. I hope other Horde players get what they need as well. Alliance players, I hope your wifi crashes for a week. Good luck everyone

BH just has to be full or poor folk. I've been paying 5k for 10 runs :D. They don't have to mount to kill all the jousters so it takes like 2 seconds. Put on your fuck'n salesman hat.

Personally, I've been running 8 ToC's & then flying up to PoS & HoR to avoid lockout.
It is defiantly the most aids gearing process I've experienced.
If it is true that we won't be able to boost with high level toons upon DF's release... man, I don't know...
That could be it for me.
I cannot fathom why they continue to destroy off-meta gameplay & creative fun whenever it emerges in this game?!

Meh I like it, the harder they make it to have 1 of every class fully twinked out the better. It's supposed to be polished toon, not just rando crap from greens.

I loved the Green boE meta. Yes, being able to kit your toons out on the AH is kindov shitty, but it made me a fortune & tbh, I loved farming. It was loads of fun to whack mobs & chat for a few hours while making tons of G's & scoring nifty gear.
Beyond that, while at the mercy of RnG, it kindov put control over our gear into our hands, & not stuffed into a path on rails; & in that aspect, I really enjoyed it. I will miss world farming, considering it will be gone for good in a few days.

Those take to long, I eat the lockout and do anything else.

edit- pit is ok, still too much RP at the last boss tho.
Some of the gear in there is BiS for a few toons. It's worth flying up to run them occasionally. That & they're really, really well done instances; & it's been nice to go back & run them. Shame the https://www.wowhead.com/item=50379/battered-hilt won't drop on normal mode...

I ran them for armor slots that dont drop in ToC. Also ran WoD and had much better luck, oddly enough.

Not gonna worry about BiS for something that's likely done any time now, and is completely unnecessary to global folks.

Use a high lvl toon (I use lvl44 hunter) and put 4 toons on follow (if you have multiple accounts) .. There is no long fight time.. Every scene is cleared before it even starts.. The waiting time is the NPC talking

You don't need to scramble.. At this stage nobody can be sure what gears going to work when expac goes live, everything here is speculation, the ilvls I seen in beta is just so unbelievable, who knows what the final figures will be for lvl20-29.. Rather than doing the unknown, might as well do what is known.. If you have a BIS toon now, play it with all the time you are left with, cos it may not be BIS after 1+ month.. This BIS toon must have took you a long time to build, don't you think giving all your remaining time to it (him/her) would do it justice? I am clearing out all my lvl14s, 19s, and get onto my 29 when there is a game (waited 4 hours yesterday and bg didnt pop for lvl29..

…how u mean crappy greens?i farmed adaptive ring with socket and speed for 4 months

im not scrambling or worrying about it, I just dont think blizz would render all enchants unusable above lvl 11 lol.

Final numbers running with a level 60 and one level 29. If I had to do it over, I would've fired up my third account months ago. But wasn't farming ilvl 37 greens yet, and wasn't sure I'd play more than two months.

Overall, ToC was either getting extremely lucky or unlucky. Hopefully others fall in the average range (probably 50-60 runs to get everything).

Trial of the Champion
  • Number of runs: 471
  • Marrowstrike dropped 24 times in 471 attempts
  • Gun dropped 15 times in 282 attempts
  • Fury warrior - 124 runs to fully gear
  • WW monk - 49 runs to fully gear
  • MM hunter - 75 runs to fully gear
  • Resto druid - 42 runs. Missing cloak.
  • Resto shaman - 29 runs. Missing one ring.
  • Disc priest - 119 runs. Missing cloak and socket belt.
  • Arcane mage - 33 runs. Missing helm, cloak, one ring.

Pit of Saron
  • Took 42 runs to get 2x 2-hander with socket

Damn thats some dedication to the grind.
Managed about 40 runs on my shammy, got a decent amount but dont have the stats down like you do.
