Transmogrification

Legend
Well new to forums scene and all (first post btw), i was wondering if anyone knew if this applies to all levels or just level cap?

I'm torn on this subject. Part of me wants to believe it'll be like how the Barber Shop was implimented, the other part leans to Blizzards recent practice of micro-transactions and the fact that they might make this unavailable for Trial Accounts to make Paid Accounts more desirable.

I'll be on the PTR so I'll keep you guys updated. I have a 19 twink on my main account, and I'm getting my account turned back on soon because my birthday's coming up. If it's affordable for under 10g on a 19 it should be for a 20. (not sure if trials can PTR)

my main used to be a lock. the shoulders with the skulls impaled on them were by far the coolest things ever. i'd totally keep that skin. i wonder about armor that procs visuals too....the tier (uh, whatever number) lock helm that occasionally sprouted wings.

From what I understand it will only work for certain items that blizz chooses (Most likely tier sets) so it'll be useless for us...

This is more of a general twink top than F2P, but this section does see a lot more traffic. Of course high levels have the cool looking gear as that has always been Blizzards focus, but there are some cool lowbie sets added in Cataclysm. Like..

However those are white pieces and most likely won't be able to use them.

Here's the restrictions

-Has to be the same Armor-Class ( cloth > cloth, leather > leather, mail > mail)

-Have to be able to equip the item (Only Level 20 required items and under)

-Item has to have stats on it (Only Green & Blue items)

-Weapon has to be the same weapon type (club > club, axe > axe, sword > sword)

-Ranged Weapons DON'T have to be the same weapon type ( Gun > Crossbow, Crossbow > Bow, Bow > Gun, or any other combinations)

You aren't limited to "tier-sets" or other silly related posts in this topic. If the piece of gear you have, matches the restrictions listed above, you can transmogrify the item.

Our only concern should be Pricing, Can F2P afford Transmogrification? This question won't be answered until the patch goes live. Seeing as that's when the decision is FINAL. Any speculation up until that point is redundant.

The void storage did cost 1000g to use. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was kinda the same price to unlock it. It would be cool the price scaled on levels just as talents working now.

That's when you balance utility, and extras within the game. Examples being that the Barbershop was introduced as an "extra" and guild banking was introduced as a "utility". Do you know how many RPers would be pissed off if they had to splurge thousands of gold just to change the way their gear looks? RPer's are like hippies. They want to look cool and ERP, with as little effort as possible. RPer's have been asking for this feature for 6 years. This is for RPers.

Maybe if we save the honor for each piece we can change our armor into marshal or the brutal gear ;)

No

I wish though.

Hmmm, I actually find it harder to believe that Blizz will pick and choose armor by tier than to just open up the same logic to all armor. After all the driving idea behind the change is to allow more customization.

People must have a hard time reading and processing data, oh well. /sigh

Everything we know about it now, into the PTR, and up to the patch could change.

I would assume there would be a cost per item and not a cost to unlock the feature like Void Storage. In which case it could scale. Most likely with level.
