Trading with F2P account

EDIT: I've made a mistake calling this F2P I mean Veteran. Sorry for confusion.

Hey, I'm sorry if this is common knowledge, but I couldn't find a post by searching.

Today I saw a post on r/wow about a player reaching level 60 while inside Exile's Reach. I got curious how that was achieved. I found a comment linking to his pervious post that had more information on it and in there he mentions being able to trade with Vet players while in the tutorial.

I confirmed this and it works.

Then in another comment there was casual mention how you could use Mobile Banking Guild Perk on the Exile's Reach.

I checked and yes you can get invited to a guild (on a character that has game time) and after relogging you have access to the Mobile Banking spell.

So for anyone who has a account with game time and wants to make a Vet character fast all you need is a guild where you have permission to withdraw from guild bank with a character that hasn't completed the Exile's Reach tutorial zone and you can trade all the enchants, gems, gear, consumables, and bags you want to your new twink character.

Seems like an awful lot of work to trade stuff to a vet who can have stuff traded to them after they spend 45 minutes going through exiles reach...

But you can't trade items to accounts without game time, right?

Idea isn't to leave the stuff with the account that has game time, but to trade them off to the F2P account

If I'm understanding this right, then the flow would look like:
  1. Have an account with game time
  2. Use the P2P account to create a character in Exile's Reach
  3. Join a guild on that character so that you can access Mobile Guild Banking
  4. Have another character stock that same guild bank with enchants, consumables, etc.
  5. Use the Exile's Reach character to withdraw items on the P2P account from the guild bank (using the perk)
  6. Then the P2P character can trade anything in the guild bank to full F2P/Vet characters on Exile's Reach
Is that correct? Because being able to use a P2P account to send items to an account without game time is really cool.

yes i understood that

my point was being F2P is arbitrarily accepting a set of limitations to make the game more challenging/rewarding so why would you then seek out a... "creative use of game mechanics" to do this? Unless you just super goofed up setting up your vet account?

I get that it won't be a true F2P, but as I've understood many people are making their characters on normal account and then when done they are transferring to F2P account so they can participate in PVP. So this skips the fee or 30 day wait to get to play.

F2P != VET, the distinction is important

I can see this being useful to set up a new vet character on a pre-existing VET account without adding gametime

But if a person does this so they can bypass the initial account set up of adding the first round of gametime then all of the toons they make will bank xp and level as soon as they add gametime to update that characters gear in the future

If you are trying to do this to be a super 1337 F2P then just play a VET as you are missing the point

I do appreciate people creating threads about long standing, known glitches. Get it out there and get it fixed!

As I said I couldn't find mentions about this and just discovered it today. No need to be passive aggressive. I just thought people might like away that didn't involve waiting multiple days or weeks to get to play or having to pay for the transfer.

I'm sorry. I got things mixed. To me F2P account is just an account that doesn't have game time. I will change what I can to "Vet" instead.

No bug, glitch, or echo of an exploit ever surprises the senior members here. I try to stay in the loop, and this stuff is almost always news to me.

If there's some cabal shadow society that knows more I want an invite.

It was mentioned on the discord when prepatch/sl first came out. Don't know if it made its way to the website or not

This guy is a hero, please don't put him in the same bag as ilvl85 1337 people.
Tonight some kid will be able to have bags and enchants because of him.
The mythic lvl 20 dungeoneers on the other hand are getting their sham/drui aimeshotted 100-0, in front of their premade just like every other night.
Thank you OP.

Honestly this is a great find.

Maybe you have an old F2P account that you can't bring yourself to upgrade but still wish to play with nice stuff. Maybe you fear that one day they will make pure F2Ps the only trial accounts again. Or maybe you just want to get as much stuff as you possibly can!

Kind of a pain to get the rep to beable to use the mobile bank but it does work. I don't see how this is any different than when F2Ps were temporarily active accounts. Rules were made to be broken, babeh :ez:
