Too Much HP as Rogue?

Good afternoon,

Is there such a thing as too much hit points for a 29 rogue?

I decided to move my 19 rogue to a 29 bracket so I took advantage of the recruit a friend "Grant Level" option to take him to 27. Just hit level 29 and starting the quest in Thousand Needles for the Racer Grips gloves. Still need to get a belt, helm, gloves, trinkets and neck.

Currently I have 2123 hit points while lacking the gear mentioned above. People are telling me that I it's dumb to have so many hit points. Does that make sense to you guys?

Im guessing once im done, I'll have around 2400 HP.

NO, I had about 2.1 or 2.2k hp prebc on my rogue (hes now 39) and I love using hp for advantage.

Same at 39 got quite normal AP and "high" hp.

Its nothing wrong, like people have AP, people have STA but I dont know how great it work in 19 and 49 but 29-69 otherwise it work great in my opinion.

if you're combat spec and have swords, health is really good to get. can you post your armory/gearlist?

my hunter friend had 2500 hp unbuffed, he was basically unkillable... fully buffed it could go up to 3500hp. now he got down to about 2200 and could eventually go down a bit again like 2000 instea dof 2500, but his dps will go even higher.

i'd say that 2000 is the minimum you're seeking after that its all a matter of personnal choice !

My rogue runs around with about 2500 selfbuffed. Anything less feels too little, but thats just me :p

My 19 palais at 2.2k and I find rogues with a high HP really annoying because they're really hard to drag down.

i agree with luka, that higher hp rogues are a pain. granted i havent really come across a rogue i couldn't beat, but the higher the hp they have, the harder it is to kill em dead. i guess the only sacrifice they have to make is other stats. i've seen rogues with 1900 hp and they can get me down just as well.

more hp --> longer to kill --> close fight

less hp --> stronger hits --> close fight

take your pick. again thats against a paladin...don't know which one fares better against other classes. you'd have to get more input from other people on that.

When I am backstab spec, I like to stand around 350-375 Attackpower and around 2k+ hp, with heirloom shoulders in my regular gear I stand around 2.2k HP, which I think is a good ammount.

When I'm ambush spec, health doesn't really matter, i'll be one shotting people.

At 29, 2k-2.4k is the accepted "Minimum" range for Hunters and rogues, after that, it's up to preference/role/spec. I've seen some Ambush/backstab specced EFC Hunter-Killers running less than 2k HP but stack tons of AP for the purpose of burning down Most any EFC or high value target in seconds, especially when working in conjunction with other rogues/druids for Stuns/roots/Additional Front Loaded damge.

Armory Zeiren, my 29 twink rogue - the gear i'm in right now I average around 850-1k ambushes unbuffed and I still have a decent health pool.

As soon as I figure out how to use the "My Twinks" link below the avatar I will post one to my Rogue.

Name is Leän, Gurubashi
