"To Be Prepared" Legion Intro Quest Buffs

Is it worth finishing this quest? Last I checked the buffs last an hour and can be reapplied. Are they usable outside of legion content, like instances/pvp?

No, they drop off the moment you zone into a BG.
Don't remember if they remain on for PvE, but they obviously stay up out in the world.

Mastery food buff stays in BG+dung, armor buff stays in dungeons, buffs are 60 min and stay if you die (food at least). You can still get to Legion Dalaran, by respawing inside paladin haven in eastern plagueland and taking portal right away.

Its just a weapon reward, I think. Not like you arent getting an artifact like 10 minutes after.

edit- Oh, but if you're talking about the ring quest then you can finish that and get back to the buffs as long as you dont get on the ship and do that PvE thing. In the room where Khadgar sits in Dal there's an NPC that can send you back to the phase with the buffs.
