Hello Asmongold,
Welcome to the 39 community, many people are very enthused with you deciding to make a 39 twink. There are a lot of things that come with being a twink, that is for sure (with great power comes great responsibility). I hope you find true delight as I and many others have had over the years as you make your 39 mage a top tier twink in the bracket. What is good gear and great is up to debate but there are definitely a few tiers of twinks that can be made. Some have to go budget twink, others get the opportunity to go all out and get all the items they need at whatever the cost or it takes to achieve. We did some updating to the 39 armory to help keep you and the many people you have brought to the community in the right direction. At some point you will learn about scaled epics, i have a guide in the 39 forum that helps explain what it takes to get these items to drop (https://www.wowhead.com/item=2243/hand-of-edward-the-odd&bonus=3968 is the best caster weapon, but mages can not equipe doh me for thinking so). If you need any help or have ideas to help improve the community do not hesitate to get in touch with me. The 39 community has been a great place for a long time, and with you as its newest celeb many of its current legends & icons in the bracket are thrilled to have you here.
To the 39 community,
We have a great opportunity right now. Competition, fun, camaraderie are the things that have always made the 39 bracket special. Revivals have occurred in the past and the thing that ultimately ended it was toxicity amongst the player base. Enjoy having rivals, enjoy the wins and the losses. Remember, you being in the match and making it competitive is what we all want! Do your best, be awesome in every way. As you do these things remember each side needs each other to be successful. There is great glory to be obtained from finally conquering that group you always have lost to. Its also great to be apart of a match that was close but you didn't pull out the win. We all want to win that's why we are here. But as we set out to reach those goals keep it classy. Lets make these matches matter, but lets not make these matches cause resentment, and lets not over do any GY camping if you have a upper hand. Play the objective. If its cart control or point control sure, a containment is good to some extent if you can corral all the enemies and end the game. But in a flag game or the such, escort the flag, kill the EFC, and prep to get the next flag. Don't hold the flag and camp, or continue to camp and not run the flag at all cause you got a cap or two. Do your best to keep the trend in the community and bracket in a positive direction. Thank you for your time and commitment you are what makes us great, each and every one of you no matter your skill or gear, its the dedication to constantly improving and helping others get better that will make us all successful.
(I'm not sure how much Asmongold will be browsing this forum, but i know many of his fans will see this message. please see to it that it gets passed on to him.)
