Must admit, when I was around the 19 bracket in cata prot paladins and hunters were two of the main factors that decided victory.

Yeah, people complain about hybrids and it's almost silly when you think about it. Prot paladin has always had CC, DPS, Survivability, Self heals. Of coarse they're going to be powerful in any low level bracket.

At the start of cata they didn't stop being powerful all the way up to 85.
Prot was actually better for PvP than ret for the first while due to the same damage but more survival on prot.

I'm just saying, forever and ever until the end of time protection will do well in low level brackets because of the way it has to be built for PVE. I know it did well at end-game cata, it's just not the point I'm driving at.

I was merely extending your quote, it wasn't meant in a negative way ^_^

So you're saying Druids and Priests shouldn't have a viable counter in this bracket?

I agree to an extent.
The issue is prot take minimal damage due to silences and high armour while also dealing very strong damage.

No I wish all healers had a clear obvious counter. They did in cata with hunts and heals being some of the best fights if skilled but now they really don't (so I thought). I was 100% happy tbh that we lost! Seeing 6 healers get taken down even if i was on the same team made me absolutely happy and I hope when this happens to horde that they feel happy to. It's like a wake up call.

If prots are the only viable counter vs heals though then it's just going to turn into prots vs heals (more so then it is now). Don't believe me? Look at the end of cata.. Battles were turning into 8/10 players on each team being a pally or a hunter just because those were the best.. See the samething happening in MoP just alot sooner

They take minimal damage but can't take more than 4500 damage unlike the healer classes in this bracket. After a certain point Prot goes OOM and turns into a paperweight. I think that's the main reason I don't see them as an issue.

I know that if I fight a prot paladin long enough on my hunter, it will die, whereas I avoid Holy Paladins completely because there's no point in DPSing one solo.
