Tips for a new F2P twink? :)

So i've decided to give f2p twinking a go and was wondering if any of you could give me some advice/tips about the bracket

thanks to everyone who replies.

keybind and go for flags

nearly every profession is useful in some way but not nearly as useful as gear

gear is easy to obtain, except for boes which are not that much better than non-bis bops

so basically you can be a lazy pve'r or go hardcore and get a few extra stats. AGM is probably the best hard-to-get item that is an improvement from regular bops.

Don't be afraid to ask for help. We're a friendly community full of people of all sorts of skill levels and as long as your willing to learn there will always be someone to help you improve your game.

Take the time to get the best dungeon gear. It doesn't take more then a day or two and will make it so you don't get laughed out of BGs by the srsbsnz tinks out there

Sub rogues are very good as are pally's and druids. However you'll want to keep in mind that MoP while it's still a ways off is still worthy of consideration in deciding which class to play.

But mainly just have fun, my feral druid was the third toon I made on AP and I absolutly love it, and when I get bored of mangle spamming noobs to death I can always switch to balance for a bit of fun and challenge

Oh and are sub rogues any good in this bracket? (sorry for double post)

Hpals > Surv > BM > Disc > Arcane > Rshams > Rets > Prot Pals > Enhance > Rogues > Frost > Ferals > Fury > Destro > Elemental > Balance > Rdruids.

Concise list, better than anyone elses. I have tried all classes, so I'm smarter than anyone else.

I don't think ret, rsham, disc, or arcane bring as much as prot. The ranged silence, capable of hitting 3 targets and hitting each one for around 250 damage. The ability to turret heal without ooming for a relatively long time. 6 second CC every 50 seconds.

Let me clarify, this is for Arena and 5 man premades.

Ret does the same thing as Prot - offheals and HoJ, but with far more burst. Burst is king in PvP, especially arena. The survivability of Prot is irrelevant, because you'll often never be touched in arena, only CC'd.

Rsham is the one I'd struggle with moving, because you make some good points. They Earthshield, spam HS, and have a token on par with AS (I say on par because its off GCD, but does no damage.). Purge tips them slightly in favor, if only because of how strong bubble spread is in 3s.

Disc priest is not changing. They have ridiculous burst and their effective HPS with bubble is amazing if it isn't purged. Between Scream, Holy Fire + MB + Penance, they can potentially do more burst than almost any other class in 3s.

Arcane will not change either. Poly, Blanket CS, Arcane barrage, and Nova make them so much better than Prot.

Prot takes a long time to ramp up (and will not do so anymore come next patch), and does not do the same burst of any of these classes. Their damage all comes from continuous casts of Exo, which are both costly and very easy to interrupt.

The best thing you can do is play as many as possible, both to give you a feel for what you like playing and also to learn the limitations and ways to counter the classes you'll be up against. There's several spec fanboys emerging lately and like all fanboys, their views are based on emotion and not logic. Choose for yourself.
