Time Investment.

How much time will you spend every day leveling up your characters, because I know I'm not just going to twink, I'm gonna go full 60. How often will you all level with a part / full time job or school? All the classes will differ in /played time in the end, but no matter what I think I'm gonna level 2-3 hours a day, probably less with all the AP's im fucking myself over next year

If you play 2-3 hours a day in Vanilla just to reach max lvl then I would say atleast 7 weeks

personally I think 3 hours a day in Vanilla will get you nowhere

Grouping up with a badazz old school player changes everything. I can play more than 6 hours at weekends. GANK GANK GANK!!!

Il probs just level to 60 casually but have twinks, should be able to fund them with gold il make from AH

thinking about it
any amount of resources put into the vanilla servers makes me think it will be a sub-time feature
and regrettably i have to assume f2ps will get locked out

vets with no sub-time might be allowed

It took me the entirety of my vanilla time to hit 60 and I paid for power leveling for half. That is how/why I got into twinking.

You sort of need a 60 on a different account to finish a think right. Librams and zero xp gear runs, let alone AGM. I don't think I could pull off getting to 60 these days without a boost. I would love to invest the time into making one decent think if it is feasible. But having to pay for two accounts and level to 60 would suck, it would be six months later.

Classic server twinking will be epic!!

My days are random, but I did quite well on Nostalrius.

I leveled to 60 in about 8 weeks, playing sporadically. I played on my days off, and put in most of my hours while my fiancee was at work. On those days, I could put in 5-6 hours straight easy. Probably leveled 2-3 days a week, for a total of maybe 10-20 hours a week.

Just curious, what did you play? class / race
[doublepost=1521002433,1521000580][/doublepost]Also, I never hit 60 on nost, I got to like 30 or something. Is it worth restarting and getting to 60? Or just wait for Classic?

I sold all my shit on Nost because I found myself playing alone. If its worth the time investment for you, feel free.

And good point. I played a Troll Hunter, which is quite an excellent leveling experience.

Back in the day, I leveled a Druid and a Mage in Vanilla. Once I had my AoE spells, Mage leveling was quite awesome. Druid leveling however, was straight aids.

hmmm, I assume you're talking about things like controlling a certain item with a guild? Like Devilsaur Mafia? Or more general farms like DM East lashers

More general exploits like dungeon resets etc. It got fixed pretty late in Vanilla. You could make fucking bank that way. I don't wanna go too much into specifics in case that it actually becomes exploitable again. I might post it in the bugs/exploit section when it becomes relevant.

But there were a lot of bugs and exploits in gold farming back then. Most of which I actually found out about when it was too late xd. But it's been the same with pretty much every expansion. TBC had its bugs and exploits too in gold farming, same with Cataclysm and MoP etc.

In MoP specifically you had tons of exploits. Very known ones were quests that would phase you into scenarios where mobs just kept coming/respawning endlessly, and you could just farm insanely fast. Vanilla had a few of those too for instance. Except it wasn't scenario-based, but just purely fast respawns.

Wow, the GMs must really hate you. I’m sitting here with GMs restoring items from years ago and unequiping items constantly.

They always say, this will be your first and last time we do this for you.
